5 Bedroom 2.5 Bath Home With Great Mountain Views Close To Skiing, Golf, & Town.
About Melissa Fox
My husband and I purchased this property with my parents as a weekend getaway for us and to get out of the Texas heat for them. My husband and I live in Los Alamos, NM and it is an easy drive to Pagosa Springs where we can engage in all of the amazing outdoor activities we enjoy. I have always loved Pagosa Springs and the mountains surrounding it. For over 20 years I dreamed about having a home in Pagosa, one day. Well, that day came and we have been enjoying it to the fullest. My husband is an avid fly fisherman and loves all of the rivers and streams nearby. We enjoy spending lazy days at the lakes and reservoirs hiking and then floating in a canoe or stand up paddleboard. In the winter, we enjoy skiing and Wolf Creek is an amazing ski area! There are plenty of great areas for snowshoeing as well. We feel truly blessed to be able to spend time here and hope our guests will enjoy it as much as we do.

Why Melissa Fox chose Pagosa Springs
We decided on this particular property because of the location, views, and size. We have rented many places in Pagosa over the years and we love this location. It feels far away from civilization, but we can get to town in less than ten minutes. We like this side of town as it is closer to the ski area and closer for us to get home. We fell in love with the views and the sound of the whispers in the pines! We also wanted a property where our friends and family could come and spend time with us and share in the fun that is Pagosa Springs.
What makes this House unique
The property is on 3 acres and is fairly secluded, but close enough to town to run to the grocery store pretty quickly if you need something. We just had a family reunion in Pagosa Springs and were able to host 50+ people on the deck and in the house for evening meals! The deck is our favorite spot to relax and enjoy the views. There is a covered portion of the deck for those days when you still want to be outside, but the beautiful refreshing rains are present. It is just a relaxing place to be. We love to watch the wildlife that ventures through the property. The kitchen was really important to us. We stayed in many places that did not have a “two-butt kitchen” and that made feeding a large group difficult. This kitchen is open with a large island and perfect for having friends in the kitchen with you! Overall the house is wonderful for entertaining and socializing!

Annual Family Vacation
We enjoyed our stay. The house was great and big enough for multiple family members and several friends. The hot tub was great and I loved the view of Pagosa.
Nice large home for our family. Great views on the beautiful deck. Hot tub and gas fire pit were nice too! Views of Pagosa and the parks. Great vacation!!
Just perfection. All of it. The house is huge and gorgeous and everything was comfy and amazing. The location really is the best. Quiet neighborhood but only minutes to town. Not hard to get to in the summer. We had everything we needed. Beds are super comfortable and the master shower is worth the trip itself. Could not recommend more. It’s a steal too. Owner was fabulous and easy to communicate with. Love love love this House!

It is our 2nd time and we have so much fun. Beautiful view to enjoy if you want to relax and easy access to so many activities.
Perfect for Multiple Families
The home has a unique layout but it functioned well for our three families with a little room to spare. Located only 11 minutes from the Hot Springs it was a great location to stay for several days. Each of the parents were able to have a bedroom and that left another couple rooms and beds for all six of the kids without being squished onto couches, etc. The kitchen/dining is open and there is a small bar separating the living room, so everyone can still all hang out together while cooking. We saw wild turkeys our last day roaming the backyard. Only disappointment was that the hot tub wasn't clean/maintained so we could use it. On this trip it didn't matter bc the hot springs was so close.
Hi Elizabeth, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. I am so sorry to hear you had an issue with the hot tub. We have a great company in town who would have come and remedied the situation right away. But sounds like you enjoyed the hot springs, which are amazing!!!
Pagosa Springs is home to the Guiness Book of World Records "Deepest Geothermal Hot Springs". These springs are utilized by three different hot springs and spas for the ultimate in relaxation. Feels amazing after a day of skiing at the Wolf Creek Ski Area which received more annual snowfall than any other resort in Colorado. They boast about being the first to open and the last to close. The San Juan Mountains are like a playground for hiking, biking, and cross country skiing. Pagosa Springs is surrounded by many rivers, streams, lakes and reservoirs, all great for fishing. There are many water sports to take advantage of in the summer like kayaying, tubing in the river, white water rafting, paddleboarding, and more. Pagosa Springs has some nice shopping as well. There is something for everyone here!
