Charm and comfort in the historical Marais
In the heart of Le Marais, very close to the famous Place des Vosges, the Musée Picasso and the quality restaurants of the Rue des Tournelles, the Beaumarchais apartment is on the 1st floor of a nice ancient building typical of Le Marais. With a floor area of 42 sq.m, sunny and calm, it has been recently renovated, equipped and nicely furnished in early 2012, with a real separate kitchen.
The living room, very bright with 2 large windows not overlooked, has a sofa-bed offering a real additional double bed.
The main bedroom is particularly romantic with its pretty ancient wooden floor in 'point de Hongrie' style, the large bed of 160x200, the antique fireplace and the 2 double windows adorned with large silk curtains. It is separated from the living room by a corridor also leading to the bathroom.
The kitchen is new and perfectly equipped for the best cookers.
A charming and peaceful place to enjoy the district walks and various pleasures.

Cozy and warm apartment!
Convenient location for exploring Paris on foot, and metro. Warm cozy retreat to escape the frigid weather we experienced in Paris. Felt like home away from home!
Convenient and decent apartment
Lovely location on the edge of the Marais, near the great Bastille market. Apartment was clean and well kept, although not as spacious or gracious as the pictures seem to show. Furniture was fine, except for the most uncomfortable dining table and chairs. Kitchen was reasonably well equipped, and appliances are good. Bath fine with a good shower. Arrangements for getting into the apartment were straightforward and the landlord flexible and easy to deal with. Given the market for apartments in Paris, this is a decent choice.
GREAT location, comfortable apartment
For us this location is perfect, close to very good Metro lines (1 & 8), close to train stations, surrounded by great neighborhoods and markets. The apartment itself is comfortable and functional, wonderful coffee house downstairs (Neighbors), super restaurants within a block or so, at least 2 boulangeries very close by. On our list of places to stay in Paris now!
Charming apartment in bustling neighborhood
It was great -- a busy part of town, but the fan helped minimize street noise at night. The only complaint I have is that there was no top sheet, but rather a comforter with a duvet cover, which we didn't really like. Overall the apartment was lovely and as pictured. Very comfortable with lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance.
Fall in Paris
Maxime's Marais apartment was in a great and central location for us. The apartment was a good size and had a great layout. Maxime accommodated our early check-in and although we expected to just drop off our luggage at 12:30pm, we were surprised to find the apartment already cleaned and handed over to us. He checked in with us to make sure everything was okay. The apartment has a true Paris feeling to it and it was nice to have a small nightstand on each side of the bed and a little space for our luggage and clothes. While Boulevard Beaumarchais is a busier street, it was not too noisy at all with the windows closed. He had a few restaurant recommendations and we took advantage of one which was delicious. Overall it enhanced the Parisian experience.
Ideally located in the centre of Paris, the apartment is few minutes away from the beautiful Place des Vosges, the Place de la Bastille (line 1 of the Metro), the Musée Picasso and the very shopping street Rue des Francs-Bourgeois. Nearby, many historical sites, private mansions and museums which give to this district all its charm, soul and attraction. The trendy clothes and decoration boutiques (the famous boutique 'Merci' 1 min walk away) are next to the art galleries and bookshops, attracting a chic 'bobo' and trendy public. Several quality restaurants at affordable prices in the Rue des Tournelles (1 min walk away). Transportation: from the Boulevard Beaumarchais, you go by foot to the Bastille (5 min away), the Hôtel de Ville (10 min away), Beaubourg or Châtelet (15 min away), Notre-Dame (20 min away), the Louvre or Saint-Germain-des-Prés (30 min away). Many bus lines (lines 20-29-65-69-76-86-91) and Metro lines (1-5-8-9).
