Awesome location with parking!
The best part of this property is the location and a parking spot available, which allows friends or family in Boston to join you. The property manager was always available and attentive. The worst part of this property is the inadequate kitchen. We showed up for a week with 3 coolers and found a tiny apartment frig and had to use ice all week.
If you hope to cook at all this may not be your place, with inadequate cookware and dishes. The AC is inadequate during a really hot week, but the fans make it generally tolerable. There are also no dressers to unpack your clothes. This place is small on the main level for families to gather and you must navigate 2 flights of stairs to get to the 2 bedrooms. All this said, it is a cool historical building with character and great location to walk to the North End for Italian, close to the subway, easy to catch Uber, and a really cute private outdoor patio for late night dinners when the heat becomes bearable. Noise was not a problem with the fans running, despite it's proximity to several bars/restaurants. Beds were comfortable.
One of a kind!
We love VRBO, and the places weve stayed have been no disappointment. Rarely are they everything you hope for. This place is spectacular. Historic, quirky, perfect location, character-filled. Our kids immediately gushed “i want to live here!” Now, i don’t want to mislead. There’s one shower. There are a lot of steps. There is the murmur of bar traffic in the distance at night. But if you’re adventurous and easygoing and like unique digs, this is the perfect place! Oh, and the freedom trail is RIGHT THERE.
Right in the heart of the action
It is a comfortable, clean house located right in the heart of the action in Boston.
Wow! Wonderful location, great property
Our family of five stayed in Renee's property at the end of June. The location just cannot be beat. You are literally a few steps from Faneuil Hall and the Freedom Trail, and a short walk from the North End. The house itself is very nice with two large king beds on the upper floor, and a very nice futon on the bottom floor. We stayed on a Saturday night through Wednesday, and any noise from the streets or surrounding businesses was a non-issue.
The Haymarket subway station is a block away, which is another plus. The courtyard is a nice place to sit and relax at the end of the day. After the trip, our 6 year old remarked that he wished he could go back to our "Boston home." Thank you Renee for the wonderful stay!!!!
Perfect location and a really nice house. It was an overall wonderful experience!!!
