About the property

One bedroom cottage

This quaint one bedroom cottage is set in the picturesque fishing village of Johnshaven (just off the A92) which is on the East Coast of Scotland, between Aberdeen (the Granite City ) and Dundee (City of Discovery ). The cottage has recently been upgraded and is well equipped, providing an ideal base for relaxing and also exploring the coast and nearby Deeside.

The cosy living room has an authentic feel, with stripped boards and low ceiling. There is an electric fire and oil filled radiator, which provides plenty of heat for the cooler evenings. The sofa converts into a small double bed. TV, cd/radio & board games, provided.

The kitchen is compact and a large skylight window gives plenty of natural light. Fully equipped with cutlery, plates, cooking pans and casserole dishes, toaster, sandwich toaster, electric frying pan, kettle, fridge, cooker, microwave, washing machine and table linen & dishtowels.

The only bedroom has a superking bed (can convert to two singles if required) and plenty of storage. Electric blankets are provided, along with all towels and bed linen

A quaint on the coast village peaceful and tranquil. Stunning coastline and beautiful places to visit nearby. Aberdeen is worth a look so is Stonehaven. Great food served at the local pub everyone is so friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed just sitting in the sun watching the sea.

Ideal, comfortable home-from-home

  • 5 of 5

Hill Cottage was exactly what I was looking for - a small comfortable cottage ideally placed for exploring the coastline between Stonehaven and Montrose. It had all the facilities I needed and Sue is a lovely, friendly owner - and it was good to know that she was on hand with any help and local knowledge I might need. I really felt at home and one week was certainly not enough. A great cottage in a marvellous area.

A wonderful, quite and very energizing next to the sea at Hill Cottage

  • 5 of 5

I was looking for a place where I could work on my studies and relax and get positive energy. A quite, warm and spacious house, cottage,...and I have to say I did it...the Hill Cottage gave that to me. SUE was very generous, respectful and thanks to her for looking after a place like that. I really did enjoy my stay at the Hill Cottage...the Village full of friendly Human beings...get out of the cottage and you can see the sea opening before your eyes...I spend nine days over there...and I am willing to come over again in the future...but this time to walk around, learn more about the people there and surrounding areas...I DO RECOMMEND and I am sure if you decide to go around you will not regret at all to give a call to SUE and ask her about that lovely Hill Cottage...I speak from my heart!
