About the property

Blue Sky South

Blue Sky South comprises two architect-designed cottages, all in a stunningly beautiful natural setting in North Grenada with panoramic views over the conflux of the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea to the islands of the Grenadines.

Both cottages have direct access to the beach - encouraging you to stroll ocean-side to Sauteurs, the nearby fishing town, with shopping facilities.

Cottages are available individually, or together for larger groups allowing for up to 8 persons sleeping

Select from :

Sueno - honeymooner's cottage with additional sleeping loft

Blue Paradise - two large ensuite twin bedrooms

Words can't do justice to the setting and facilities of these beautiful cottages. View our website at www.blueskysouth.com for full info and photos.

Stay in a classic cottage at Blue Sky South and you will experience the real Grenada - the local centre, Sauteurs, with its banks, bars, restaurants and fish-market, provides a warm and genuine welcome as you meet the locals.

Blue Sky South provides a uniquely tranquil and relaxing base for exploration of this enchanting area ......

We invite you to relax in this breathtakingly beautiful location....... enjoy the Caribbean sunshine, with its magnificent dawn and dusk, and our constant cooling breezes ........ absorb the panoramic view over the meeting of the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.

The views of the offshore islands are breath-taking and the cooling breezes are a joy.

.......move seamlessly from your verandah to the calm and cool interior ... take in the breath-taking Caribbean panorama ...... a little music perhaps .......feet up and relax.

You have comprehensive kitchen facilities, or perhaps choose to eat very locally at one of the nearby restaurants or have our housekeeper come in and cook for you as a treat. For a change you might wish to stroll to the local boutique hotel, Petite Anse, where the English hosts will again make you very welcome.

Savour a sundowner as you greet the dusk ..... watch the movement - and the lights - of the Ocean liners as they pass along the living Caribbean panorama that is yours to enjoy

Some places to go:

When you're ready to explore a little, maybe visit Sauteurs - stroll along the ocean side, direct from your private beach access path, and perhaps have a cold drink en route at Agnes' bar.

Sauteurs itself is a most welcoming town with internet cafe, two banks, two schools, varied bars and eating places and most of all an integrated and family based community where you'll be made very welcome.

A walk down to one of the nearby Inns will give you the opportunity to meet visitors from Europe, Scandinavia, the US and Canada.

Slightly further afield - you must visit Bathway beach - jaw-droppingly beautiful, almost deserted and safe bathing and enjoy a meal at one of the small restaurants there or go further afield to Grenville on the East Coast or Gouyave on the West Coast to sample Grenadian cuisine and way of life.

Visit near or far beaches, waterfalls, go river rafting or snorkelling, explore a working cocoa estate or rum distillery. Take in a fish fry in the evening. All are within 30 minutes' drive from the cottage.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Four of us (two small children) stayed at Sueno in early May. The house was fine for us. Great view. The kids loved the splash pool. We had a great time and saw 5 turtles in one night.

A slice of heaven

  • 5 of 5

We love to get away from the bustling city. The cottage was as promised, we loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves and the wind. We ate at the Armadillo 3 times, the B&B which does dinners if ordered the day before from their menus. The best meals on the island Andera and Bernie were wonderful hosts. We cooked at home 1/2 the time. The plunge pool was welcome although the steps down in are very deep. The sand in front of the cottage has been washed away where the walk way ends had to walk over rocks to get to the beach. We would go back again, something we usually don't do.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much. It was our pleasure to host you. The sand at the bottom of the steps to the beach erodes and then returns from time to time . that little part of the beach will probably be there on the next time you visit! We look forward to seeing you again.

SuSueno-where the ocean invades your dreams

  • 4 of 5

This little cottage, one of two ,was simply delightful. We loved the clean modern open plan, with high ceilings and old style Caribbean features like wooden louvres. The loft bedroom was a surprise and a hit. Bright lights, a vase of pink oleanders welcomed us! We went to sleep with the rise and fall of the waves on Copeland Beach and next morning we tumbled down the stairs into the arms of the warm seas which we had all to ourselves.

This is an excellent hideaway, far seeming from the madding crowd yet safe and within easy reach of the quaint town of Sauteurs and secluded beaches everywhere- Darvi , Duquesne ,Boucherie .And the more popular ones like Levera and Bathway within easy reach .Sleep softly Sueno .

Why to look farther ?

  • 5 of 5

Away from the agitation of the city and mass tourism (cruises, etc.), we enjoyed our stay at the charming cottage Sueno located Sauteurs, at the northern tip of Grenada, facing the ocean and the Grenadines. Conforms to the description on the website, no surprises when we arrived but pleased to find a nice house, comfortable, clean, functional and well equipped. Nothing is missing, good bedding and above all, it will seduce lovers of calm and authenticity that will find it a perfect place to rest without being disturbed by the neighborhood. Its location, although limited by distance from St-Georges, the capital (about 2 hours), is not a problem to visit the island as a whole. We recommend renting a 4x4 vehicle, allowing access to the most pristine sites, it would be a shame to neglect, like the beautiful beach Levera Bay, located in the national park and only fifteen minutes from Sueno. We especially appreciated the responsiveness of John during our numerous requests to the proper preparation of our stay. His good advice and the organization put in place for our home (questionnaire, practical information ...) were invaluable and reassuring. Allyson, charming Lady -and our contact on the island- has made every effort to make our stay more enjoyable (arrival at the airport, with the initial provisionning (pay well course) and support to the "right way" to Sauteurs, to our departure from the island). There, we were able to benefit from the talents of Sonia, the excellent cook (and cleaner), which, at our request, cooked local specialties, and a delicious cake. All rental formalities (payment of the deposit, balance and refund of deposit) were simple, fast and effective. Thank you to John for the quality of all these services. Fabienne and Jean-Baptiste

Great place to stay!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed solo at Sueno for a week. It was wonderful! The peace and the beautiful and compelling roar of the ocean was perfect. The trees and flowering shrubs were larger than in the pictures, and enhanced the property. Everything was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. Allyson had kindly purchased some pantry starters for me. DJ and Harriet at nearby "The Heights" restaurant delivered my first meal, hosted me again with their "welcome home" style, and introduced me to some new friends who are living in the area.. Everything available at Sauters, and lots to explore and do if wanted, or just walk the beach and chill out. Lavera Beach is absolutely gorgeous! Petit Anse restaurant is nearby. Everyone is so very welcoming and friendly, a great place to stay, and a great unspoiled area. I recommend it highly for people who like an authentic experience off the regular tourist route.

Highly recommend the Blue Sky South villas!

  • 5 of 5

I rented all 3 Blue Sky South villas for my family and myself to stay near where I was having my wedding in Sauteurs. I can't say enough great things about our stay here! The villas all had amazing views of the ocean. They were clean and had all the amenities of home already there. They also provided a local cell phone which was so great to have while on the island.

The owners recommended Sonia as our cook while there and she did an outstanding job!

I would definitely recommend these villas to anyone considering a vacation to Grenada. They are located in the town of Sauteurs which is on the north end of the island. It's approximately a 90 minute drive from the airport but well worth it. There are great restaurants and bars (Petite Anse hotel, The Heights) nearby and the town of Sauteurs is very busy and welcoming.

Sauteurs beach can be accessed from the wooden walkway on the villas' property. And Levera beach is a short drive away and is a hidden gem.

The owners of the villas were great to work with and very accomodating. Highly recommend!

Our Own Private Paradise

  • 5 of 5

I've never been to Grenada, but have always wanted to go. The Island itself is beautiful and the locals are friendly and welcoming. The Villa was amazing! It was well appointed, with all the amenities we needed. The space is open and airy, with lots of doors and windows for the lovely breezes. We never turned the a/c on, but it was there if we needed it. The Villa is brand new, so everything was new and clean. The grounds were well maintained with lovely trees and foliage. The beach was only a minutes walk and it was completely private. We felt like we had the entire Island to ourselves. Paradise! The weather was perfect for swimming, walking, hiking, exploring. There was lots to do too! Great restaurants within a 5 minute drive. There are water falls, lakes, the Caribbean and the Atlantic!.. Rum distilleries, chocolate factory, swimming, fishing, sailing, etc... If you are looking for nightlife and a party scene, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for an amazing vacation with amazing views, quality time with your loved one(s), friends, family, this is the place. I'd go back in a minute and stay at Sueno.
