Destination wedding fun
We were in Charleston for my daughter’s destination wedding. We had friends and relatives from all over and we needed a “home base” to come and go from. We loved this house for many reasons. It was clean, had a great open concept and was located in a nice neighborhood within walking distance to many places. Most importantly, it had three bedrooms each with their own bathroom and each with a king size bed. There aren’t too many VRBOs that offer even one king bed and it suited our family perfectly!
Well maintained and great location for walking to the historical district. Very comfortable beds and having 3 full baths was a major plus as we had a party of 6. Only thing I was change is maybe thinking about putting TV’s in the downstairs bedrooms. Throughly enjoyed our stay!!
Great Space, Comfy beds, Good location
My group had a great stay in this Carriage House. It was the perfect amount of space for a group of 6 adults w/ 3 comfy King size beds and 3 full baths. Central A/C with Nests and ceiling fans worked great. Nice large side balcony for lounging. We would stay here again and definitely recommend this place. Also the location can't be beat!
A couple of very minor suggestions to make stays for future guests even better:
- The kitchen could have benefited from a few additional items. (A toaster would have been nice, as would a large skillet or two.)
- Some of the fixtures were loose and need a quick re-attachment. (Broken towel rod in upstairs bathroom, a couple of loose or broken pulls on the window blinds.)
Everything we wanted and more
We had an excellent stay at the carriage house. It was perfect for the week of our daughter's wedding. Three king beds and three attached bathrooms was superb! We spent most of our time on the porch when we were there which was lovely. We had some difficulty with the parking under the building but that was all on us, we thought the car with the Thule woud not fit under the house. It did, no problem! doh! Easy walk to all the activities on Spring, Meeting and King Street. Even walked to the Charleston River Dogs baseball game. Would definitely stay again.
The apartment was in perfect shape, perfect location right off king street, and setup w/ essentials
Great property, perfect location with easy access to everything you want to walk to, no car needed. House was set up with limited essentials like little soap/shampoo and kitchen cleaning supplies. Kitchen does not have anything for cooking and they throw out all the last guest’s cooking supplies like oil, but there are grocery stores nearby. The beds are extremely comfortable and there are extra sheets if needed. Loved this place, and though it is quite a bit more expensive than places nearby, I would consider staying at this location again.
Condo was great
The condo was very nice and for an older refurbished home had great water pressure. (Hate places that don't have enough pressure to get soap out of your hair.) It was within walking distance of parts of King St. and may have been within walking distance of downtown if you're up to a good long walk. We drove. It was a bonus to have a parking space since most places don't have one and parking is at a premium everywhere in Charleston. The beds were awesomely comfortable! Would definitely recommend this location.
