Wonderful Spring Break Trip!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Robert Childs for carefully laying out our vacation...everything you said was spot on and wonderful. This was a great, memorable experience at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach for my daughter's graduation/spring break trip. Having the 2BR/2BA Presidential Suite provided privacy for my daughter and her high school friend as well as me and my wife. The view from the 8th floor was amazing and I watched some fishermen catch a marlin out of my living room window my last day. The place was clean and nicely appointed and we loved the resort. The sky pool was a favored hangout and all of us loved the spa massages. Great spa! The market offers some excellent food options. Our high schoolers liked The Office on the Beach so we ate there twice, as well as Robert's recommendations of Salvatore's for Italian and Puerto Viega for Mexican. I'm sorry we missed eating seafood another recommendation - Maro's - which is very close to Salvatore's. The highlight of my trip? Going out with Pisces and catching my first marlin! Expensive because I chartered the boat myself but a lot of fun. If you can't afford Pisces, you can ask around at the Marina and easily rent a boat...especially between 6-7 am. I rented a car and we enjoyed going into town. However, beware the incredibly high insurance the rental companies demand...and the bone-jarring speed bumps around town. Robert, your guidance and assistance was superb and invaluable. Thank you for your totally accurate advice and for setting us up in the perfect spot for a Cabo vacation!

Book with Childs!

I wanted to write you a quick email to let you know what a wonderful time our family had using your timeshare at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort and Spa the week of March 26th. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, cool and breezy in the morning and evening and sunny and warm everyday. My husband and I loved Salvatore's, thank you for the recommendation. Their bruschetta appetizer was phenomenal! Definitely one of our favorite meals all week. One a whim we tried Chamuyo Restaurant (an Argentinian steakhouse) and would highly recommend it. We went after 8:00pm so it was pretty dark, but the ambiance was so unique, I would love to see it around sunset. The steaks literally melted in your mouth and since we couldn't decide which of the empanadas to choose for an appetizer, we ordered one of each, they were delicious. We had a great guide, Nacho, through Whale Watch Cabo and saw several whales even though Cabo San Lucas was nearing the end of season the week we were there. I would love to go again in the prime of season. Our group of six did an eight hour deep sea fishing trip through Pisces Sportfishing (through your recommendation) and had a great time. Captain Tony's cooked our catches for us when we got back to the marina, what a cool experience. The ladies finished off the week with Swedish Massages at the Spa and had wished we had spent time at the Spa earlier in the week. The Spa was gorgeous, the massages were excellent (I have had several in the states and nothing compared) and the pre-sale pricing was a great bargain. While it was my husband and I's second time to Cabo San Lucas/Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach, it was the first time out of the country for my husband's sister, her husband and her two teenage children - we are all anxious to get back!

My husband and I are interested in taking our children next year over their spring break, anytime between March 24th-April 1st. How far in advance do you book your two bedroom Presidential Suite? Since it would just be the four of us, do you have smaller units that you rent as well? In the off chance we had another family who wanted to join us, do you have any units larger than the two bedroom presidential suite?

We were at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach for our son's wedding. I contacted Robert Childs regarding reservations for 18 people. I cannot express how exceptionally helpful that he was. When we arrived, our rooms were upgraded to the Monte Cristo Villas by Yazmin, the desk manager. The villas were absolutely PHENOMENAL! There was more than enough comfortable beds for everyone, as well as plenty of bathrooms. The view is spectacular. It was so nice to have our own pool and hot tub. Robert provided us with the names of private drivers, as well as recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. Alex Garcia (one of the drivers) was absolutely the most dependable and personable people I have ever met. Robert recommended Puerta Vieja restaurant for our rehearsal dinner. The food was fantastic, and the venue was beautiful! Our vacation/wedding would have never been the same without the spectacular accomodations of Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. Robert was so easy to reach and took care of all of our needs. He did not steer us wrong on ANYTHING! Our whole group is ready to go back, just without the stress of having a wedding. I highly recommend Robert Childs and Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Monte Cristo Villas.

Absolutely Amazing!!!

  • 5 of 5

We went down as a family for a family wedding. The Presidential Suite was more than we had even hoped it would be. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. The view from the room is amazing with the ocean, beach, Golf course and the point right in front of the room. The maid service was top notch and the shuttle service was fantastic to get around the resort. All the pools offer something different but all had great food and beverage service. We took advantage of the free shuttle to the other resorts to spend some time on the beach and all services were just as good at the Blanco and the Rose'. Wonderful place great time, thank you.....

Wonderful resort, location, attentive owner

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed at Sunset Beach several times over the years, but cannot always get the exact time I want so decided to contact this owner. He was extremely timely with responses, very personable and even sent along an information sheet with his favorite places to visit and insider "tips." My last visit to Sunset Beach was in June (can't wait to go back!) with my husband and 7 year old son.

We had a lovely room with beach access and the sound of the ocean waves at night was UNBELIEVABLE! I have never slept so well in my entire life.

This property is secure, well maintained, has excellent pool options and great staff. If you treat the staff well, they will treat you well. I have seen some guests behave rudely to staff and, well, surprise, you might not get the best service. I have always received excellent service at Sunset Beach.

All of the rooms here have a view of the ocean. Some are further up the hill, my room this time was right on the beach. I feel that this is one of the best places to stay in the area, and like that it is not directly in town. We were not looking for a party scene, but a relaxing getaway.

Presidental Suite

  • 5 of 5

The 2 bedroom/2bathroom Presidential Suite was very nice. I have stayed at this resort before but having the Presidential Suite was particularly nice. The grounds and complex are beautiful. Working with the owner, Robert, was helpful and he has great suggestions and recommendations of places to eat. The resort is built on a hillside so you can get plenty of exercise, which we did, but they also have plenty of golf carts to take you anywhere in the resort. Great vacation.
