About the property

Seattle's most desirable neighborhood, direct train from airport for $3, free parking, comfortable 2-bedroom 1-bath with full kitchen. Close to everything - parks, entertainment, restaurants, nightlife, museums -- all in walking distance. The Walk Score value is 96, which makes it a "Walker's paradise."

FIRST FLOOR apartment in duplex building, with two bedrooms and one bath. Bedroom 1 is in the back of the house, away from street noise. It has a desk, chair, closet, and new queen size bed and new memory foam mattress. Very comfortable for two people.

Bedroom 2 is a 100 SF small bedroom with a new double bed and new memory foam mattress, desk, chair, and night stands. There is a closet just outside the bedroom door to store luggage, clothes, and belongings. Comfortable for 2 people. There is a door between the two bedrooms, which can be closed or open, depending on privacy needs.

The living room has a queen size sofa bed that is comfortable for 2 persons. There is an additional convertible couch that sleeps 1 person. Floor mattresses are available to accommodate additional persons, if so desired. I make them available in case a larger family or group would like to stay together and don't mind a bit compromised comfort.

The bathroom has a toilet, tub with shower, and sink. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, stove/oven, fridge, coffee maker, dishwasher, toaster, pots and pans, utensils, coffee, tea.

The apartment is on the first floor, directly adjacent to the driveway where the guest parking spot is situated. There are outdoor patios around the house, which are nice places to hang out in the summer, or for a smoke/drink. There is a shared washer/dryer in the basement; access code will be provided upon request. Please indicate during your booking if you need parking. The parking space is on a slope. It will work fine for a sedan, minivan, or small SUV, but it is not large enough for oversized trucks.

You determine how much privacy or interaction you desire. I'm available by phone/text/email anytime for help or guidance, and in-person in the evenings and most weekends. I've lived in Seattle for 30 years, so I know the city and the state very well, and would be happy to share some insider's tips.

Capitol Hill is centrally located, with everything a central city has to offer, including an incredible variety of restaurants, night life, shopping, supermarkets, liquor and pot stores. Volunteer Park with the Seattle Asian Art Museum is 2 blocks away. Behind the park is Lakeview Cemetery, where the city's founders are buried, as well as Bruce Lee and his son. Capitol Hill nightlife in the Pine/Pike corridor is about a 10-minute walk.

To get to the apartment from the airport, take the Link Light Rail (subway) to the Capitol Hill Station (13 stops, $3 for adults). Take the Broadway E/E John St exit. Then walk 2 blocks east on E John St, and 4 blocks north on 11th Ave E (7 minutes). Capitol Hill is a walker's/biker's paradise, with everything nearby. You can take the subway downtown and the Pike Place Market (one stop) or the University of Washington (one stop in the other direction). Bus stops are nearby, including the number 8 to the Space Needle. You can also take the streetcar or subway to the stadiums or Pioneer Square (old town).

You will enter the unit by using a code - no key is needed. There are six supermarkets within walking distance. The nearest and largest one is a 4-minute walk away, and is open 5 am to 1 am every day.

Great location and the accommodations spot on for our family

First timers to Seattle and VRBO. Both exceeded our expectations. It doesn’t get any better than our host George, friendly and generous offering suggestions and answering questions quickly. The place was clean, quiet (a little road noise but not a big deal) and furnished with pots, pans, utensils, etc. everything we needed to make breakfast, lunch or dinner. Beds were very comfortable. Very easy walk to restaurants and to a grocery store. The lovely side yard was too chilly on this visit to use but it was sweet. Wish we could stay longer, and if we did it would be here at this VRBO! It’s a huge YES that we would stay here again.

Comfortable and quiet

Quiet rental (you can hear some road noise through early evening) with many cooking supplies in the kitchen. You will need to bring or buy your own spices and other such supplies. The owner (lives on the property) was really helpful when I wasn't able to work the code to get into the house. Beds and couches were comfortable. It worked well for our overnight stay in Seattle. Parking is tight and on an incline which requires some caution getting in and out of your vehicle. There is WiFi access and Netflix which are nice added features.

Comfortable and well-located

Very comfortable, plenty of space, easy communications with our host George. Great location. We used the light rail to arrive from the airport, then a short walk to the apartment. We were able to get around easily without a car using public and lyft/uber type transportation options depending on where we were headed.

Clean and quiet neighbourhood

This unit was located in a quiet neighborhood within a 40 minute walk or $12 cab ride to downtown (also close to transit. The upper level apartment had everything that you needed, plus free parking. Beds were comfortable and the unit was clean. The owner was a good communicator and quick to respond to any questions.
