About Lisa Westerman
I am an upbeat, optimistic person that enjoys meeting new people and learning new things. I try to keep active and take pride in myself and my surroundings. My goal is to treat every guest with the respect and kindness I would expect to be treated with and offer a very clean, comfortable, relaxing and beautiful environment for your enjoyment.
Lisa Westerman purchased this Studio in 2011
Why Lisa Westerman chose Seabeck
Seabeck is a quiet, beautiful rural town located on Hood Canal off of Puget Sound in the middle of Kitsap Peninsula. Why stay in a pricey hotel with traffic and people milling about when you can experience beauty, peace and tranquility right outside your door. I have travelled extensively (domestically) and have experienced the issues with securing a hotel/motel/house rental/studio rental etcetera firsthand for many years. I tend to be quite picky when it comes to what I want and need to be comfortable and content when travelling so I did my best to offer my guests the same quality in a rental that I would want for myself. What my rental offers is: comfort ( 2 queen beds with newer very comfortable mattresses with high quality bedding), cleanliness, convenience (Webber charcoal BBQ, (charcoal not included) free Wi-Fi, 32" flat screen direct TV with hundreds of channel choices, blue-ray DVD player with a choice of movies, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker, luxurious bath, face and hand towels, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hand soap, hair dryer, makeup mirror, magazines etc.) and a beautiful, natural property to roam around on and possibly catch a glimpse of our frequent visiting wildlife (deer, bunnies, chipmunks). I even have a fire pit with chairs to enjoy the cool nights around a warm fire (firewood available for purchase).
What makes this Studio unique
Although this unit is connected to the main house, I have gone to great lengths to make it as private and quiet as possible. The unit has it's own entrance, private deck with a table and chairs and your own private full bathroom. Please remember, this unit is attached to the main house and although I've done everything I can to soundproof, you may still hear sounds from my house and vice versa.

Comfortable place to stay
Since I was visiting family, this was a nice and convenient place for sleeping, sort of like a hotel. There were cooking supplies, a microwave, refrigerator, dishes, etc. but since the place consists of 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, it was too small to actually do any cooking.
It was very clean and the bed comfortable and Lisa was a good hostess. Many scenic destinations are nearby.
I prefer a roomier place to stay next time, and there were too many additional fees in addition to the rental cost.
Heidi was a great guest I enjoyed having her as my guest. I did ask Heidi during her stay if everything was good and she said yes except I needed to place a regular blow dryer in the room so I'm a little surprised at her unhappiness with the size and the cooking opportunities. My place is exactly as advertised and many of my guests have cooked full meals in the room with no complaints. I have also been told on many occasions by past guests that you couldn't come close to what my rental has to offer in a hotel and my rental is about half the price of a decent hotel room. That being said, you can't please everyone but I do my best to make my rental as convenient and comfortable as possible.
The Quiet of Camping the Convenience of Home!
Lisa's attention to detail and the quality of Serenity in the Woods makes it a win/win location for enjoying your stay in the Seattle/Tacoma area. The location is away from the busyness of the city but convenient for day trips to local attractions. Lisa is an efficient, nurturing host and her canine companion, Spanky, adds additional charm and camaradarie.
The 2 bedrooms are roomy and the beds EXTREMELY comfy. There is ample closet and dresser space so unpacking and storing luggage is convenient. The bathroom has plenty of counter space and worked efficiently for our party of 4 adults.
Although there is no dedicated kitchen, there is a fridge, a cooking cart with appliances and a charcoal BBQ outside to cook simple meals. The large counter space in the bathroom made clean-up a breeze.
Access to the large yard and lack of traffic near the property make it ideal for families with children who need space to play and stretch out. The adjacent trails are great for older children who would enjoy venturing on their own. Scenic Beach State Park is a longer walk but easy and worth the time.
Serenity is a bargain and I would happily book it again!
Janette and her family were wonderful guests. I enjoyed meeting them and chit chatting a bit. They were respectful of the rental and property at all times and left the unit in good shape when they checked out. I would be happy to host them again in the future and hope I have the opportunity to do so.
Loved the place! It was so close to our son's place where we were visiting. Everything was well provided - pillowtop bed, great bathroom, microwave, refrigerator, dishes and utensils. Lisa was a great host. I'd recommend this to anybody else!
Thank you for your kind words, I am happy that you enjoyed your stay. I had a great time hosting your family and look forward to hosting you again in the future. I would recommend Michael and his family to anyone looking to host very nice people.
This location is close to Bangor Naval Base and borders Silverdale and Bremerton. A short 2 1/2 miles away is crabbing, fishing, Bald eagle watching and kayaking in Hood Canal. Have a gourmet cup of java on the Seabeck Marina or just take in the breathtaking water and mountain views. Seabeck is a quaint rural area that boasts a nature reserve and beautiful state park along with a new marina and 3 small lakes. Seattle is a short drive and ferry ride away. Take a day trip to Victoria, BC (one hour drive and 1 1/2 hour ferry ride). Take a mineral soak at Sol Duc Hot Springs (1 1/2 hour drive) or visit quaint Port Gamble (45 minute drive) or Port Townsend/Port Angeles (1 hour drive each). The Olympic mountains are about an hours drive. Ocean Shores beach town is 2 hours away. Kitsap Peninsula has so much to offer why choose anywhere else?
