Fall in love with this adorable island home, just two blocks from the beach at Bean Point! The two-bedroom/two-bath ground-level charmer is the perfect spot for visitors who want the private, residential ambiance of the north end of the island, coupled with great beach decor and amenities.
You'll find that at this cozy retreat, clever design has insured maximum privacy! A one-vehicle carport faces the street, with secondary entry door from the carport into the kitchen. The front door is found around the corner and down a charming garden path lined with perennial blooms. Tucked alongside the path, and hidden from the street, is a screened porch that's guaranteed to be your favorite outdoor retreat! Just beyond is the brand new heated pool and hot tub...you'll never want to leave!
Inside the house you'll find everything you need for the easy beach living you've been dreaming of. A large, updated kitchen and dining area adjoins a comfortable living room, which offers plenty of space for everyone to relax. Whether you want to watch movies on the high definition flat-panel 'smart' TV, curl up with a good book, or play games with the family, this is the perfect spot!
Down the hall you'll find two cozy bedrooms, each furnished with fresh tropical linens. The first bedroom is home to another high definition, flat-panel TV, along with a king bed and en suite bath complete with walk-in shower. The second bedroom features a queen bed along with a shower/tub combination in its own en suite bath. For additional guests, the queen sleeper sofa in the living room can comfortably accommodate one or two.
Of course, in spite of its lovely decor and comfortable furnishings, the best part about Island Rose is its location! The north end's warren of quiet, meandering streets makes the bicycle the hands-down favorite for transportation, so be sure to rent one for everyone in your group. Whether on foot or a bike, you'll find it's just a hop, skip, and a jump to the beach at Bean Point, or to the historic Rod & Reel Pier at the end of Alamanda. You can fish 24 hours a day from this two-story old-time Florida pier, also home to a delicious restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week ...and at reasonable prices! You can even redefine "fresh" and "local" by having your own catch prepared for you right at the restaurant.
A few streets away and over a hump back bridge that skirts Tampa Bay, you'll find a wealth of things to enjoy. Beginning at the Historic Anna Maria City Pier, you can head west to browse the shops that line Pine Avenue. This two-lane, 25-mile-per-hour street is Anna Maria 's version of a 'main road.' Just a half-mile long, it runs from the Gulf of Mexico to Tampa Bay. In addition to an eclectic mix of great shops, you'll find several places to grab a delicious bite to eat, including The Sand Bar Restaurant perched right on the edge of the Gulf of Mexico. Come right in off the beach and have lunch on the deck in your bathing suit, cover-up, and flip flops, or stop in later for cocktails or dinner while you watch the sun sink over the horizon.
Pine Avenue is also home to the Anna Maria Historical Society Museum, a wonderful little place that offers visitors a glimpse into the island's sleepier past. Special features include the City's famous door and window-free jail, along with a charming cottage that once sat at the end of the City pier...until it fell into the water during a storm in the early 1900s!
When you're ready to venture further afield for a glimpse of our sister communities of Holmes Beach and Bradenton Beach, you can hop on the free Island Trolley as it makes its daily run between 6 am and 10 pm.
All said, Island Rose is sure to provide you with one fantastic island vacation for up to 6 members of your group!
