This was a truly delightful experience. Given the choice to stay in a 5 star hotel or this house, we would choose this house every time. So, so well done! The Stewart Family Houston, TX 1/2/15

“A lovely home in a great location with a beautiful courtyard. We would love to return when everything is in bloom! We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed touring the Santa Fe area. Despite changing conditions - snow one day, 70 degrees another - the home was always comfortable.” April 2015 Flis-Nord family. (MA)

“What a beautiful house! It has been such a pleasure to stay here & feel at home in Santa Fe. Walking to the plaza, museums, galleries and wonderful restaurants. I will fondly remember my visit to Artist Adobe and hope to return." October 2014, KSW, (CO)

"Beautiful home-I loved the way it was decorated. Little surprises at every turn. It was perfect for our needs in every way - accommodations, location, everything - just perfect. Would love to stay here again! Shanna & Marn Zachary"

"Property is conveniently located within walking distance to plaza and restaurants. Comfortable home with all the conveniences of home plus beautiful courtyards made for a lovely stay in Santa Fe. The only difficulty is the entrance to driveway, located between two businesses, is a bit difficult to enter from one direction. We always drove around the block to enter from the left. We would definitely stay here again."

"The Artist Adobe sits just off Guadalupe to give you privacy and peace but it affords access to all the best walks in the downtown area. We used this as a hub for my husband and 2 (grown) sons w/ SO's for attending wedding activities. It gave us the opportunity to independently enjoy the Santa Fe downtown and large enough for us to have our down time and privacy . So many cozy spots to enjoy the patio space for reading and contemplation. The home kitchen is expertly appointed, home is colorfully and comfortably decorated and plenty of interesting reads for those just wanting some local/ regional material. The house had such a great " how to" manual that no additional help was needed.

"An absolutely adorable home in a great location. Easy walk to the Plaza, museums and many restaurants. We especially enjoyed the courtyard/outside patio, very private. It was a very comfortable stay for a family of 5. We were sorry to leave and would definitely stay here again should we find ourselves in Santa Fe."

Perfect in every way

  • 5 of 5

The artist adobe was a bit like winning a lottery. We walked in and the four of us knew we had scored a great place!! Clean, quiet, nicely stocked kitchen, a working kiva and so close to the center of town that it was an easy walk. Couldn’t have asked for a better combination. I would highly recommend it to anyone and plan on coming back in the future.

My two sisters and I had a marvelous weed long Christmas stay in Santa Fe at this property. Location is excellent - the plaza, great neighborhood bakery, terrific restaurants, Georgia Keefe Museum - all within easy walking distance. Convenient access to all major thoroughfares if you need to travel by car. The unit is well equipped with kitchen items. We prepared meals just like we would at home. The WiFi was reliable and fast. The guest info book was very informative and gave us all the info we needed to enjoy our stay and be good guests. Parking for rental car was amble and convenient. The bedrooms and baths were well equipped. The beds were snuggly with enough blankets and pillows. Loved the fireplace. If you want an experience with "old Santa Fe" house vibe with a modern twist, this is the place to stay. FIVE STARS! We thank you so much!

Charming and Ecclectic!

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Artist Adobe. This house was super clean and well maintained. The kitchen is fully stocked with just about every pot and pan you would need if you were cooking a meal in and the patio was a wonderful place to soak up the morning or afternoon with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Want to buy art? All the art in the house is for sale! The plaza is just a few blocks away and convenient to everything. We basically ate our way through the town and every single meal was amazing. I particularly loved the Shed and Cowboy Coyote, but you can't go wrong with any of the wonderful eateries. I would definitely stay here again! I do want to give a mention to the "checking out procedures", the "what to do with linens and towels" is written differently online versus what is in the listing and needs to be updated. Other than that ..5 STARS!!!!

Perfect in-town accomodations

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the Artist Adobe! The house is located just a few blocks from the Santa Plaza and is easy walk to many shops and restaurants. It's located in between a couple commercial buildings, but it is set back off the road and quieter and more secluded than would be expected. The courtyard is very large with lots of seating and a grill and is perfect for hanging out and having some snacks and drinks. You can also access the courtyard off the master bedroom. The house has the master bedroom on one side, two bedrooms on the other side and the kitchen, living room, and dining rooms are in between. There is also a mudroom. The decor is very tasteful, rustic, and eclectic. The Kiva fireplace is perfect for chilly nights although you may need to get some newspaper for kindling as we didn't see any around the house. Just make sure you push the wood all the way to the back, otherwise the house can get smokey. The kitchen is quite spacious and has almost every utensil you could possibly need. For families with very small children; you will need to rearrange some of the furniture to make the space more baby-proofed, the baseboards can get very hot to the touch, so make sure your little explorers stay away from them, and the bathtubs do not have non-slip mats. We had to adjust our stay dates a couple weeks before arrival and the managers were very accommodating. We would definitely book another stay the next time we visit Santa Fe.

Owner's Response: Hi Matt, Thanks for the excellent review and we are so pleased that you enjoyed the home. We actually do have bath mats but perhaps they were tucked away under the sink. We will leave them out in the future. Again, thanks so much for staying with us and all the best, Richard
