Why Crystal Stranger chose Talavera
We fell in love with this home because of the views. It really is breathtaking to be here, like living in a home from the pages of Architectural Digest...
What makes this House unique
The location is really unique here, backing up to the Organ Mountains National Monument and Sierra Vista Trail gives a real sense of tranquility.

The Perfect Place for Our Stay
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house! All of us enjoyed the amazing views and the layout of the property. I will miss that great kitchen and that Viking stove. I am a native Las Crucen yet climbed "A" mountain and went up Soledad Canyon for the first time. And, was minutes from my sister. It was just an overall pleasure and joy for our family to have such a place to stay while in Las Cruces. Thank you so much. Jim Pickett
This home is set up on the hillside with a stunning view. The home has a great vibe and perfect for a family stay. The owners are sweet and helpful. They gave us great recommendations for the area. White Sands National Monument is a must, it is well worth the 1 hour drive.
Extraordinary house sight and unbelievable views.
We had a great 4 night stay, the view is fantastic. We wanted a Christmas in the southwest without all the holiday hupla and we got that. We also thought the surroundings were beautiful, even the housing in the area is rather harmonious with the setting. The kitchen was a plus, fun to cook in the space, great lighting beautifully appointed with user friendly features. Super clean. Owner made it feel like we were welcome there. The outdoor patio spaces were great for getting badly needed vitamin "D" sunshine. The place is all about the view and I enjoyed doing some watercolors outside on the patio a couple of days. I liked that the place was somewhat sparse as far as decorating or stuff. Being able to do a load of laundry was great. The hiking in the area could fill up a week easily. We really loved the "Tucan" grocery stop before arriving. Make sure you have a good vehicle for steep incline. It got a little cool some days, but staying inside to read was OK. There was a little snafu with how the price was listed, I'm not sure who was responsible. I have decided to let that go because I think others would enjoy the place a lot. We just might return again for a longer time next year.
If I could not give a star I wouldn't! We arrived at the house in the middle of the desert to a HOT house. The upstairs air conditioning was broken which the owners were aware! I called the emergency number & was told by the house keeper the owners were aware it was broken. We waited an hour before calling thinking surely the air would come on. The owners call us the next day saying they didn't know & it would be fixed. We immediately requested a refund to find other accomdations which we were promised but didn't get. They emailed us telling us the air " should be" working the next day. So we arrived on a Tuesday evening and air may be ready on Thursday and our trip ends on Saturday. Who in their right mind wants to gamble on that! After all of that they refused us our refund & cleaning fee because we were in the house!
Plan a stay at this place!
Excellent place! Beautiful views. My wife and I had a great stay for our anniversary. Owner was very helpful and on top of things. I would stay over and over again.
