Great location with a home away from home experience.

  • 5 of 5

Jessica and her husband were great host and the house was perfect for our stay. We were in Austin to move our child into college and had grandparents coming to visit from San Antonio as well. The central location was close to campus, parks and all the great South Austin restaurants. The house was fully set up with everything one could think of. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet yet right in the middle of all the really popular retail streets. Definitely on our list to return too.

Great house in a great location

  • 5 of 5

The bungalow was adorable and perfect for our group of 5 adults. Were do I start with why we loved it:

The owner was great, easy to reach and amazingly accommodating.

The location was perfect, walking distance to 1st and South Congress. An Uber ride to 6th Street. So many wonderful shops and restaurants in walking distance.

The house was cute and comfortable. We loved sitting on the front porch in the morning and evenings. So quiet and yet so close to the action. It is well equipped with everything we needed.

As we we pulling out of the driveway we were already talking about returning. Thanks for a great stay!

I recently stayed to celebrate a 30th birthday....6 ladies comfortably stayed in this charming house. The location is in a great neighborhood, perfect for walking to eat or just have coffee. We had a very enjoyable experience.

The house is well stocked with all the amenities for staying in if you don't feel like going out. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch and loved the great air-conditioned house when the temp went up.

The owners live next door and were so accommodating to our needs. I would highly recommend this house for your next get-away.

Perfect Choice for Family of Four

How did we get so lucky to have chosen this house for our three-night stay in Austin?

Here's half of it: my sister, who lives in Austin, gave us some guidance on choosing the location, where we could walk to S. 1st St., and in cooler weather and with greater ambition, S. Congress. But it was hot and ambition was low so we drove everywhere, 3 minutes here, five minutes there.

I was traveling, a quick-summer get-away, with my husband and two kids, ages 12 and 14, a boy and a girl. Each kid had their own bedroom and a spacious, bright, shared bath in between. The master is at the rear of the house, through the living room and beyond the kitchen, so there was separation from my night-owl children. I could still hear them and had to yell at them multiple times to be quiet and go to sleep because it's a bungalow, so don't get any ideas, mistaking it for a 3,000 sq. ft. house, but it was nice to have them on the other side of the house, knowing they had their own space after so much trip-dictated together-time.

I'm an architecture/use-of-space buff, so when I say the house really works, it really works. The living room was well-arranged with comfortable and hip-but-not-painfully-hip furniture that you felt you could actually sit on. The bowl on the table was perfect for keys (thoughtful). The kitchen was bright and open and well-equipped and the screened-in porch was a dining-area alternative and we would have probably lived out there had it not been so hot. There's a grassy backyard for cartwheels if you can still do them. The a/c did its job flawlessly and we needed it on the whole time we were there.

The location, as I mentioned, was perfect. Besides the proximity to all the restaurants and shops on S.1st and S. Congress, the street was pin-drop quiet with no traffic (did I even see a car drive by?), nice neighbors (if you even see any) and a short drive anywhere you want to go in Austin.

When I return, in cooler weather, I will look first to see if this house is available. There is no need to look anywhere further. See you in the spring!

Cute littel house_ Close to everything you wanna do.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had a friend come in from out of state. We stayed here for the weekend. The house was darling and so cute. We had everything we needed for our stay. We even cooked breakfast one of the days and didn't have any problems finding what we needed. The house is located on a quiet street near SoCo. Everything was a short ride or within walking distance. I recommend staying here for your next visit to Austin. Owner was easy to reach and was quick to reply. I had text even asking about any local food spots and she gave me a couple to check out. Very happy with our visit. Will be back.

charming bungalow

Jessica's home is so adorable and very cozy. We had two babies with us and we were all very comfortable in her home. The fenced-in yards were fantastic. Jessica went above and beyond in making our trip to Austin easy, including leaving a pack-n-play for us. Highly recommend for a true living-like-a-local experience.
