The RV is 190 sqft, & the total outdoor space is 720 sqft. Ample amount of cupboard space & storage for clothes. Full kitchen, bathroom, & dining table & DVD player. Outside: There is a great fire pit for Smores or just to relax! Dining as well. Another cool feature: Private outdoor shower (shower under the stars). Enjoy!

Conveniently located 10 min from the beach (driving), shopping, night life, restaurants, transportation, nature (hiking, soccer, biking, etc.)

Our private garden & completely remodeled beach RV offers:

*Fast Wifi *1 full and 1 queen bed *Heating/AC *Full kitchen & full bathroom *Closet *Mini fridge *Fire pit *Outdoor shower

Optionals: laundry, breakfast, coffee/tea, home-cooked dinner, cooking lesson.

**Please note** This RV is not mobile--it cannot be driven by guests, and no pets are aloud. NO SMOKING on our property please!

*We prefer that guests use the outdoor shower as it is more spacious. It has a large private curtain and hot/cold water. It is definitely a relaxing experience as you can see the stars at night! Please be mindful of time used as it does drain to the street.

*Our beach RV has 2 comfy beds, hard wood floors, closet with hangers, 3 outlets, a fridge, and room to organize your belongings. You are welcome to use our front yard hammock!

*To reach the upper bed, guests will need to use the provided ladder with 3 steps. There is adequate protection for guests to not fall off the top bunk.

*We are a family of 4 (French-Italian-American) & 2 cats, 2 dogs. We are very hospitable and love to host! We have had so many people from different cultures stay with us and enjoy every guest and their stories.

**We have been told that the vibe of our RV is very unique and cozy, and just like an actual house. We look forward to your stay with us!

You are welcome to use our front yard hammock and laundry room at request.

We are home most of the time and love to host. If we are not busy working and have free time we would love to know more about you! We are happy to have you and can suggest many local things to do in our area that you won't want to miss. There are so many things to do around here--you won't be bored!

We have lived here for 8 years. It has always been very quiet and safe, even on weekends. Our neighbors are friendly and keep to themselves, mostly military and small families. There isn't much traffic on our street and it is located off of the main road in a quaint location. We are just outside of the marine layer so we are usually sunny and have beautiful sunsets overlooking a valley. We have an ocean view on a clear day and can see the snow capped mountains of Big Bear, CA. Our temperatures never really get above 85 and stay in the low 60s in the Summer. Winter highs are high 60s to low 70s with lows in the upper 40s.

Parking is always easy and available right in front of our house.

*Please do not park in front of or in our driveway.

Please be mindful of street sweepers: they come by Thursday mornings (9am-3pm) so make sure your car is parked elsewhere during that time (to not get a ticket).

TRAINS: The Sprinter is a small train for $2 each way or $5 a day unlimited. It is located 10 min from us (biking). It runs east to west and can take you right to the center of Oceanside city. There are great shops, food and drinks, movies, and it's right on the beach. The main train (Amtrak) can take you from Oceanside to San Diego, from Oceanside all the way up the California coast, and every coastal town in between.

BUSES: Buses are more seldom but do stop by on Oceanside Boulevard and College Boulevard.

Why Rachele DeMeo chose Peacock

After looking for a home for over a year, we stumbled upon this house and realized it was a gem. We live on a hill with no neighbors behind us, over looking a valley. Since we are on a hill, our neighbors roofs (to the left and right) are the only thing you can see so it's very private. We also didn't realize how quiet it was here, and how conveniently located we are to everything!

What makes this recreational vehicle unique

Over the years we have made our house a home. We love hosting and have tailored our home for someone not just to visit, but to experience. Our home is unique for a few reasons. We have over a 100 species of rare palm trees and a beautiful landscape. You can feel your blood pressure drop just by enjoying our jungle. It is so quiet here despite being so close to everything. We wake up to birds chirping every day. The front yard offers a relaxing hammock and back yard offers many seating places including a custom build redwood picnic table and twin sized redwood floating swing you WONT want to get off of! Our deck is the perfect place to have wine and chat about life while watching the sunset.

Comfortable, affordable accommodations

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay in the RV with our family of four. It was very private and comfortable for us - although our sons are teenagers so they take up more room now :). Location was perfect for beach days in Oceanside as well as a nice drive to San Diego for sightseeing. Thank you for creating a nice space -- we also enjoyed the outside fire pit area for morning coffee.

A great little space to return to at night; we used it as a pit-stop for Legoland. My son loved the bunk - like his own little cubby house. The kitchen worked well for us and unless you're cooking a big meal from scratch it's very adequate. And as with any RV it's tight and you need to manage the luggage sprawl, but that's part of the novelty too. Finally, Justin was a great host and eager to help. Thank you!

Cosy and quiet

  • 4 of 5

Overall enjoyed our stay. A little cramped with 2 adults and 2 kids but we were out most of the time anyway. We all enjoyed the outdoor shower. Well-equipped with kitchen stuff and towels. Only suggestion would be a small barbecue setup. Thanks for having us.

Our trip was a (hang) 10!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 4 days in this RV and it was delightful. The owner, Jastin, met us when we arrived and gave us a tour/instructions. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we weren't able to meet his wife, Rachele, but we communicated through email throughout our stay. They were both quite helpful.

The RV was perfect for my husband and I. It was clean and well-stocked. We were centrally located to many other locations (San Diego, La Jolla, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Del Mar). We were there for the sole purpose of my husband learning to surf. :)

We LOVED the outdoor shower and fire pit area. I also enjoyed smelling the plumeria each time we left or arrived! The community was quiet. We'd recommend this rental and we hope to return soon.

More than a room....

  • 4 of 5

Home away has been our go to for the last five years. We have always rented entire houses for our family of five. This trip we found ourselves traveling as a duo. Just my daughter and myself. Deciding to be a little adventurist (and frugal) we looked at rooms for rent. Though a little apprehensive I booked it. What a great decision. We found a fabulous family that shared a little piece of themselves with us. Rachaele and Jastin were warm and inviting. There home had many little surprise "escapes". Our first hour we were sitting roof top enjoying a glass of wine playing gin as the sun set. Our stay was short and we were pretty busy so was not able to enjoy home cooked meals. But the smells of the kitchen gave us a taste to entice.

This is more than a room, it truly is an adventure.

Highlight of the stay:

Coming home around 9 from dinner to a live mellow music session in the living room. (Don't worry they ended shortly after we got home)

If we come back to Oceanside, we will be back!

Welcome to our quaint home surrounded by tropical palm trees in a quiet & safe neighborhood!

We are conveniently located 10 minutes from the beach (driving), shopping, night life, restaurants, public transportation, nature (hiking, soccer, biking, etc.). There is so much to do in our area and we lucked out to live in a central location that is easily accessible to many attractions.

Oceanside is home to the longest wooden pier on the west coast of the USA. It offers long stretches of beautiful beaches and there are waves very frequently.

Our temperatures rarely get above 85 in the summer with nights in the low 60s. Winter averages are high 60s to mid 70s, with nights in the mid to upper 40s. We are located just outside the marine layer so we get all the benefits of a temperate climate but remain sunny most of the year. Our deck offers a beautiful place to watch the amazing Southern California sunsets!
