It is expected that you will clean the cabin before you leave so that it is in the same condition as when you arrived. While there is a cleaning fee, I pay a living wage so that fee goes towards the cost to have someone wash all of the linens, and check the condition of the property after your stay. You must remove all of your trash from the property when you leave, and do not liter on the property. There is no garbage service at the cabin, and if any trash is left anywhere on the property, then a $75 fee per garbage bag will be deducted from your security deposit to pay for the trash to be disposed of properly by the cleaning service. If a garbage bag larger than a 13 gallon garbage bag is left on the property such as a contractor's garbage bag or similar, then there will be a fee of $100 per garbage bag. In addition, if the cleaning service has to pick up your trash that is scattered about the property, then there will be an additional fee of $50/hour for them to perform this task, plus the cost of the garbage bag fees based on the size of garbage bags needed. If your security deposit is not enough to cover these fees, then VRBO will be contacted in order to assist in the collection of these additional fees.
Do not leave trash on a neighboring property, or in a neighboring property's garbage or recycle bin, or you will forfeit your entire security deposit as compensation to the neighbor(s), plus incur the garbage bags fees stated above based on the size and number of garbage bags.
Do not park or trespass onto any of the neighbor's properties, or cabins. There is no parking allowed in any of the neighbor's driveways, and do not block the entrance to any driveways, or you will forfeit your entire security deposit as compensation to the affected neighbor(s). If there is room, you may park next to the side of the road as long as it is not snow season as the snow plow could hit your vehicle.
In addition, while you will be in the forest, please be mindful that the noise travels very far in the mountains so you will need to be respectful of the people who live in the area year-round and may have work in the morning. Therefore, do not make any loud noises anytime after 10 pm.
Also, there is no smoking inside, or outside, or anywhere on the property. Please also understand that this property is located in the forest, and fire danger from a burning cigarette, cigar, etc. is a real threat.
If cigarette, cigar butts, beer/soda bottles, beer/soda cans, or bottle caps are found on the outside of the property, then there will be a $50 fee for each one found that will deducted from your security deposit, and VRBO will be contacted to assist in the collection of any fees over your security deposit.
Please do not light a bonfire, or similar fire, anywhere on the property as burn permits are required by the County, and are not permitted during certain times of the year due to high fire danger. If any fines, fees, or penalties are charged for such a fire, then they will be charged to you in full and VRBO will be contacted to assist in the collection of these charges.
