Lovely historic home from a long known family in the area. Beautiful sun rises and sun sets are an everyday occurrence and you can still see for miles! Relax under 100 year old pecan trees or rock the night away on our wraparound front porch. We are family owned and operated from the homes on the property to the animal and crops we still raise today. Come and see what life was like when the city hadn't grown and times were simpler.

The house was wonderful. Out by itself so you don’t have to worry about rowdy neighbors, or being one. My family and friends (16 of us) had a great day of tubing near Canyon Lake, and then came back to the house and stayed on the back porch for hours just listening to music and talking. The bedrooms are all well kept, the bathrooms all clean. Tracie was very kind and helpful with any questions we had.
The ONLY negative thing I have to say about the house is that the entire outside of it was infested with wasps. However, we came in the middle of summer, in Texas heat nonetheless, so it was just an unlucky situation. Not much anyone can do when they decide to settle there. Buy some spray beforehand and you’ll be rid of them for awhile.
The home was lovely and very accommodating for our needs! thank you!
4/5 beautiful home! Very minor inconveniences.
Close to the river, spacious and beautiful house, lots of shopping/ restaurants nearby! Beautiful kitchen and downstairs restroom! Quite a few extras in the pantry that previous visitiors have left.
A few cockaroaches, but not crawling or infested. It's out in the country, so didn't bother us too much. There are a few spots in the house that needed repair - the handle on door in the room upstairs leading to the little patio was broken so we couldn't open it, spot in the kitchen ceiling was torn up so visually wasn't pleasing. The showers were a little grimey. The BBQ had quite a bit of rust, and we couldn't find a brush. We just put a layer of foil down and made it work.
Overall, very minor inconveniences that didn't cause any major issues on our trip. It's really such a beautiful home! The owners were very responsive to our questions beforehand and we had lots of privacy while we were there. It definitely suited our needs as we were a large group going to the river. 20 minute drive, but the home had a TON of extra space! :)
Great relaxing weekend in a country setting
Beautiful historic home close enough to the city to go out to dinner, shopping, river float, Schlitterbahn etc
Great property and idyllic location
Great time and wonderful house. Not too far from new braunfels, but somewhat difficult for I find initially.
Amazing, Charming Home
We absolutely LOVED staying at the Timmermann Homestead. The house was so charming and historic yet provided us with modern day comforts (like an AC that cooled the house down quickly at night). The house was plenty spacious for the 12 of us (10 adults and 2 children), and the kitchen was spacious as well so we were able to have a few people in there comfortably cooking. We spent most of our time on the front porch in the rocking chairs, enjoying the breeze and just soaking up the environment. I'm sure the doors locked but we didn't even make an attempt, we felt more than safe there. The kiddos LOVED the goats in the pen, the dog running around and the baby birds in the nest above the front door. We got to watch the mama feed her babies over and over. It was a 15 minute drive to float the river and into town and it was definitely worth staying "a little ways out of town". We loved that the house was fully fenced to keep my 3 year old contained. We plan to make this an annual trip and will stay here again next year!
