Great house for a group visit for a U of M football weekend
We had a great stay in this beautiful home for a group reunion of U of M alumni friends for a football weekend. The home was spacious and comfortable, with a master bedroom on the main floor and 3 bedrooms on the second floor (sleeps 8 people total, sharing beds). The hostess, Achla, lives in the house full time and vacated for the weekend. She made us feel welcome in her home -- including by leaving a bottle of wine for us to enjoy and offering snacks and full use of the kitchen. The home is just under 5 miles from campus, but the drive can take 20 minutes or more, especially on a football Saturday. If you are driving to a game, there is ample parking along S. State for only $20 before you get to the stadium.
Important note: 2 cats live in the home (they were in the basement for the weekend), so beware if you have allergies. Everything was clean and neat when we arrived, and there are Hepa filters, but we were not aware of the cats until after we booked. Price is right, and we would stay here again.
Thank you Roxanne. I hope no one had an allergy issue. I did put in my listing that I have cats, so I'm sorry you were surprised. Thank you all for being the most wonderful guests.
Beautiful college town with lots of restaurants, boutiques, museums, theater and music.
Additional information about rental rates
I have two cats that will be in the basement with the door shut. The home will be thoroughly cleaned before your stay. I would like permission to come in once on Saturday to feed and check on the cats. If absolutely necessary, I can remove the cats from the house. If you like cats, feel free to let them out of the basement! They are very gentle and friendly.
