The Cottage was built in 1940 on the island of Assateague and moved by barge to Chincoteague in 1992. It was fully restored and updated in 2014 and combines the charm of an historic cottage with every modern amenity. Central air and heat, working fireplace, washer/dryer, new kitchen with on-demand hot water, dishwasher, remote blinds, cable TV and high speed internet. The master bath has a heated floor and heated towel rack. Convenient to downtown but in a quiet neighborhood just north of the bridge. Wonderful views, kayaks available for guests, a rooftop deck, outdoor living area with dock and deep water access to Chincoteague bay and the ocean. We're sorry but we can not accept reservations for guests with pets.

About Tony Crescenzo
We have been coming to Chincoteague for 30 years and purchased the property in June of 2016. We looked for two years before The Cottage came on the market. We wanted to be close to town, but wanted have a quiet retreat for relaxing and entertaining friends. There are crabs and fish right off the dock, great neighbors, and a real small town feel.
Tony Crescenzo purchased this Cottage in 2016
Why Tony Crescenzo chose Chincoteague Island
The Cottage is uniquely situated, close to town but quiet in the evenings with stunning views of the bay, amazing sunsets, and access to hunting and fishing from the deepwater dock. It's rare, even in summer, to hear anyone else in the evenings when we sit on the rooftop deck to watch the sunset. The Cottage has an interesting history, starting out as a cabin on Assateague Island, then barged over to Chincoteague in 1992. It retains its historic charm but has every modern amenity.

Floor to ceiling windows with spectacular views, Central air and heat, fireplace, washer/dryer, on-demand hot and filtered water, high speed internet, internet TVs, heated bathroom floors, skylights in the showers, walking distance to downtown, bike friendly and minutes to the ocean and Chincoteague bay.

Relax in Style on the Bay
Great stay at The Cottage on Chincoteague Bay. Wonderful and comfortable house. Very clean and well equipped. Loved the view from the rooftop deck and just relaxing on the waterfront deck.
Lovely, and luxurious, cottage
The house was in a great spot, close but not too close to everything. The rooms and gathering spaces were perfect after beautiful days at the beach or with ponies.
Beautiful waterfront home
Gorgeous sunsets. Variety of birds to watch. Spectacular views. Screened porch a plus in the evenings! Great views from the crows nest. Lovely well equipped kitchen to prepare meals. Spent time with family here for a week. Absolute little gem. Tastefully decorated and full of charm with modern amenities. I would stay here again and recommend to others. We had a great stay here.
Charming, relaxing and beautiful
Great place to relax and unwind. Walking distance to shopping and Town. Located in the best part of the island. Comfy, clean and cozy!
Beautiful beach house with wonderful views
Chincoteague was nice and quiet since we were there at the very beginning of October; I imagine summer is a lot busier. The house is within walking distance to practically everything. It is very well-maintained and comfortable with neat little quirks given it's history. We brought our dog and he had a fantastic time on walks or just cruising around the yard. The screened in porch was a great area to lounge in and the ability to play music in the kitchen/living area and the porch through Sonos was an added bonus. We would love to stay there again, whether to celebrate our anniversary or to visit during another season, probably summer. We will definitely recommend this home to others.
Wonderful home! Best vacation!
Our stay at the cottage was magical. The house is very clean and cozy. It is an absolute 5 star. Having access to the dock, with a bay view, makes all the difference in Chincoteague. Thank you for having us Tony! To all future visitors, enjoy the beautiful sunsets from this piece of heaven on earth.
