Overview

About the property

4 Bedrooms, 3.5 Bathrooms, Lakefront cabin

You get the best of both worlds with this mountain feel cabin that is located directly on Lake Hartwell. When you are in the cabin, located in a private gated community, you will feel like you are in the woods at a private wooded retreat. However, walk down to the covered boat dock, and you can enjoy all of the fun Lake Hartwell has to offer. Our home is located on a quiet cove just off the main channel of the lake. We have great fishing in our cove, right off the dock. The cove is deep enough to enjoy boating, swimming and relaxing. Pull your boat right up to the dock. We have 160' of shoreline and a private dock for your enjoyment.

Our well appointed cabin offers 4 bedrooms and 3 full and 1 half bath. There are 2 bedrooms with Queen beds on the main level as well as one full and one half bath. The master king size bed is located in the loft area with its own private bath and large closet. There is also a bedroom in the basement with one set of bunk beds as well as a full size bed with a full size trundle.

There are many areas for people to relax at this home, including two separate living areas, and two large decks(one covered and one uncovered).

The home is conveniently located just 5 miles off of I-85 at exit 1 in South Carolina. We are 90 minutes from Atlanta, 1 hour from Greenville, 20 minutes to Seneca, and 30 minutes to Clemson. Go Tigers! It's also only 40 minutes to outlet shopping in Commerce, GA.

* The home does not have cable or internet access. We prefer not to have it at our home so that we enjoy our time as a family in nature.

Please note that the house does have a long, relatively steep driveway. However, it is concrete and presents no problem for any type of vehicle. It has a large gravel parking area with enough space for 3-4 cars next to the house. Please ask if you have any concerns about this.

About Ashley Giffen

My Husband and I both went to Clemson University. Go Tigers! We wanted a lake home close to Clemson so we could relax at the lake with our family in the summer and watch our Tigers play in the fall. We currently live in Atlanta, but make it up to the house a couple of times a month all year round.

Ashley Giffen purchased this cabin in 2015

Why Ashley Giffen chose Chickasaw Point

We love this home because you feel like you are really out in the woods, but it has the convenience and amenities of a neighborhood. We also love that it is a log home which makes it so cozy and welcoming. Being on a cove makes it great for the kids to swim or kayak, and also the fishing is great.

The BEST DAY EVER!

  • 5 of 5

We three families from Greeneville, TN (with boys that attend Clemson University!) decided to make a weekend trip out of FAMILY WEEKEND! There were 12 of us all together! We found this lovely gem of a home and enjoyed everything tremendously! We brought in a big lasagna dinner for Friday night and enjoyed conversation and a little fishing from the dock! Early group breakfast and out the door by 9 on Saturday for all day tailgating. Absolutely no traffic until we were about a mile from campus. Enjoyed a stellar day of food and friendship at our tailgate make possible by our awesome boys who secured a great spot!! We then took in the game and back to our tailgate post game until (9:30pm!!) Sunday morning was relaxed with a lovely brunch, a little fishing and a little packing up! The house was perfect for our group. It was clean, organized, well maintained and is well suited for a CLEMSON FAMILY WEEKEND!! Everything was just as it was advertised and the steep driveway was not a problem for any of us. We're already talking about next year!!! :)

Couldn't have been convenient for our visit to Lake Hartwell

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I along with two other couples just stayed 3 nights at Chickasaw Point. We were in the area for a dear friend’s wedding that was held at Avalon, a wedding site on Lake Hartwell just several miles away. It was planned to coincide with the great 2017 eclipse so I’m really glad this home was available. The layout of the house was perfect for our needs as six adults but it would also suit multiple families with all of the additional bed space. We had enough room to spread out with each couple basically having their own floor. The open kitchen area was great for socializing and it came with all of the cookware and devices we needed to make meals while there. The lakeside location is great, nice and peaceful being down from the road. We walked down to the water several times but our limited lake time was spent on a rented pontoon boat which was great for a 95 degree afternoon. We enjoyed our stay and I’m very comfortable recommending your place to others. I’m confident we could not have found a more suitable place for our stay. Thank you once again the use of your beautiful home.

Nice home

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time. The driveway was steep and a bit intimidating at first, but after a couple of times, no worries.

The house was clean and comfortable. It had all we needed for our weekend.

Would rent again!

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

Came for a family vacation with our older kids and grandchildren. Loved the home - it feels like a treehouse looking out at the trees and down to the lake - so peaceful. Enjoyed the lake and a visit to the community pool one day also.

Very nice

  • 4 of 5

The cabin and lake are as described by the owner and are both very nice. The owner was very easy to work with and we had a great stay. The only issue that I found is the drive way is very steep and hard to park. We had one car and a 15 passenger van which once the van went down and we got it turned around there was no way to bring it back out until the end of trip . I would recommend that if you are going to stay using a big van for this property is not a good idea.

Nice log cabin home in Chickasaw

  • 5 of 5

The home itself was very nice, with enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate our large group.

The only issue with the home was the long, steep driveway lacking a sufficient paved area at the bottom. It is difficult if you have to accommodate more than two cars, particularly after a lot of rain as we had just prior to arrival, which made the gravel area at the base a challenge.

However, beyond that one issue, we all enjoyed our stay at this home.
