Newly renovated "Camelback" 2BR 2.5 bath, ideal for 2 couples
Come stay in this excellent location - walking distance to French Quarter (4 blocks), Frenchmen St (8 blocks), and Rampart StreetCar (2.5 Blocks), close to the action yet just far enough to be on a quiet block! This is a private two story back unit of a newly renovated historic Creole Cottage built in the 1800s! It is in the Treme neighborhood - more on this below...
The downstairs has... a half bath; large living room with Roku TV, L couch and pull-out twin bed; living room with table; kitchen has beautiful new granite counter tops and bar, fridge, toaster, new oven, microwave, coffee maker stocked with coffee, basic cooking supplies, cookware, glasses, mugs, cutlery, etc
The upstairs has: one bedroom with a comfy Queen ikea bed and memory foam mattress, hanging drawers in closet, new full bathroom with shower and bath; second bedroom has identical set up and second full totally private bath.
The entire house was renovated in the last year with new wood floors throughout.
Outside has: a beautiful private seating area where smoking is allowed; a separate tropical side yard with a beautiful mosaic tile and concrete table that is shared.
Towels, coffee, soap and basic supplies all provided - shampoo and conditioner available upon request. Street parking for 1-2 cars is always available day or night in front of the house year (space for more cars is available, but please ask/let me know first)
The Treme/7th Ward is a very old and historic neighborhood, once forgotten but now quickly transforming into an up-and-coming neighborhood that will be on par with the Marigny and Bywater soon. Renovations are happening at a mind-blowing rate, and tight historic code ensures that these old houses retain their beautiful character and architecture (like this one!) as the neighborhood itself beautifies and finishes fixing up the pockets of remaining Katrina blight. From the antebellum mansions along Esplanade (two blocks from the house) that used to be Storyville, to the beautiful creole cottages and shotgun-style houses throughout, the neighborhood is steeped in history.
The location is as close as you can get to the action downtown and still be on a quiet enough block to come back and get some rest! The French Quarter is close enough to hear the riverboat calliope on the wind, being 4 blocks/0.3 miles to the NE edge of the French Quarter, and 13 blocks/1.0 mile to Jackson Square which is regarded as the center of the FQ. The heart of Frenchmen Street in the Marigny Triangle is 8 blocks/0.5miles from the house as well, where the best live music in town is... with the Marigny Rectangle and Bywater just beyond that as well, home to some of the best bars and restaurants in town.
I am the owner this property and live in the front unit and am available anytime if you need help with anything or any recommendations. I normally like to greet my guests and give them a quick rundown of the property and orientation of the neighborhood. After that I am always nearby and available for any reason (or to just chat), but also give my guests plenty of space and privacy to enjoy their stay.
I have been managing vacation rentals on other platforms for several years with great success and am excited to try HomeAway/VRBO! Feel free to check out the same listing on airbnb with over 20 reviews.
And be sure to read over the 250 guest's reviews of me as a host as well, they speak for themselves! :

Very nice house!
Since our group included two couples, the two bedrooms with 2 private bathrooms worked very well. Grahm was more than accomodating. The only drawback was the neighborhood, but walking out in the morning was no problem. And we just took a lyft home to the front door at night. It was close enough to walk to the French Quarter or to take a trolley elsewhere. We had a great time & will surely be back again.
