Designed by renowned architect, Norman Lacayo, as his own unique residence, this gem can be your home away from home. Nestled in a tropical, palm fringed location, privacy and relaxation can be found either poolside or from the zen-like oceanfront views.

The main house has 3 bedrooms (1 King, 1 Queen, 1 Full) with an additional room with a pull out sofa bed. Sleeps a maximum of 8 people.

A separate detached poolside studio (1 Full) with a half-kitchen and bath sleeps a maximum of 2 people. Situated on almost 1/2 acre, this tropical retreat can become your own little slice of paradise.

Conveniently located near shopping, this home is also minutes away from Hanauma Bay (famous for its snorkeling), whale watching (winter season), hiking, diving, sky diving, parasailing, Jet Pack Hawaii, and other activities. Located just 15 minutes from the famous Waikiki beach and shopping. Ten minutes from Kahala Hotel and Resort, which offers exquisite cuisine and a Dolphin Encounter. And just two minutes from Hawaii Kai, not only the home to snorkeling spot Hanauma Bay, but offers may water excursions, shopping, dining, and entertainment.

could be a nice property

Like the Japaneese guest said in an earlier review cleanliness is an issue and he was kind but if you read between the lines he said that Americans don't pay attention to cleanliness and this place has not been attended to. There are waterbugs (roaches) in the cabinets and crawling around everywhere scaring our guests. The furniture in the living room hasn't been cleaned in many years. The mattress in the master bedroom is old and needs to be replaced. Sleeping was a real issue. The kitchen is ill equipped - we bought our own frying pans, bought our own utensils. Not one bedroom is equipped with a clock radio - we bought our own. One of the towel racks in the master bedroom broke and was never replaced. In the second bedroom the towel rack is near falling off. The screen door in the kitchen falls off as you touch it. The dryer has broken functions. The microwave is so old it may be of museum quality. Not one of the toilets had a toilet brush. One of the showers had no soap dish. If the windows are open, you hear every truck, motorcycle and siren passing the house all night long. The view in the back yard is great. There are home rental owners who care about the quality of their guests experiences and some who care only about the cash they can collect - I believe this home owner fits into the latter category.

Good enough for A Listers, Great for Us!

Mu wife and I just completed a very enjoyable stay at this wonderful property. This place really has it all! Privacy starts with the gated driveway (remote opener provided) and extends all the way to the ocean frontage. Beautifully landscaped, beautiful pool located between the pool house and the main house, and then the ocean...with views from Koko Hear to Diamond Head... Magnificent! The ocean is really calm and shallow in front of the house( due to the reef at least a quarter mile offshore) It is literally knee deep all the way out to the reef! My wife was really impressed that big name stars from the movies Jurassic World and Kong: Skull Island called this place home for months during filming.

The house has all the amenities you will need and everything is clean!

Costco and Safeway are only 2 miles away in Hawaii Kai and there are several nice restaurants, including a great Japanese restaurant, right across the street.

Great place to relax and have fun. Definitely will return!

Perfect Vacation Oasis

Though it's right off the road, once you're through the gate it's like you've been transported to your own private oasis. The location is convenient to many things, but we almost preferred to stay "in" and enjoy the property. We loved to open all the doors and windows and enjoy the magnificent ocean breeze and breathtaking view. The pool was perfect and very private. The kids loved the pool and the stocked game chest in the reading room. Wonderfully comfortable accommodations with everything we could possibly need to feel at home while on vacation. Very clean and well appointed (not like some vacation rentals with chintzy kitchenware, awful linens, and not enough pillows- this place satisfied my particularity just fine!). The management team was very helpful and responded immediately to our questions.

We can't wait to come back, and will definitely stay here again!

Great location, and beautiful oceanfront view

6 Jananese adults ages from 40's to 70's stayed for a week.

Location is perfect. Not too far from Waikiki, couple of minutes to Kahala and Hawaii Kai. You can avoid city traffic and get a head start when going to Hanauma Bay, Kailua & Lanikai, Kaneohe Bay and other east oahu tourist spots. Very quiet and private and safe atmosphere.

The house is beautiful and spacious, kitchen fully equipped and clean.

Cleanliness is a major concern for many Japanese. I may be harsh but in that sence the overall cleanliness may not be up to standards (i.e. guest cottage, BBQ grill, near window frames). However, in terms of international standards and to a person like me who has travelled to more than 20 diffferent countries, I would say it is completely satifactory.

You may have occasional unwelcome small visitors (not the cute lizards) but don't forget you're staying at a tropical island and it is not the properties fault. If you don't like it you can always stay at a tightly sealed highrise hotels with no ocean breeze.

It is hot in summer but closing windows would be a trade off between cool air by A/C and receiving the lovely ocean breeze. We kept the windows wide open at all times when we were in the house.

Manager is nice, friendly, and reliable but slow reply and transactions made us a little anxious especially when we are almost a day ahead in Tokyo. Also I wish deposit was refunded to the credit card which we paid instead of a written check which is a hassle to cash in.

Overall we had a great vacation thanks to the East Oahu Oceanfront Jewel.

Would I recommend to a friend? : YES

And the big question, Would I come back? : YES (I guess that says it all)

Zen-Like Oceanfront

A perfect retreat for extended family of six in this lovely home. The location convenient but behind the gate says it all. Truly oceanfront. Peaceful, quiet and private. Fully stocked for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend. Management team professional aces!
