Amazing View - Cozy Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sa Vista. The cabin was perfect for us. We enjoyed the gas fireplace on the cool nights and the home was well equipped. The view was unbelievable!

Immediately relaxed at Savista! Gorgeous views with a comfortable atmosphere. Truly enjoyed it!

  • 5 of 5

Typing this while viewing a spectacular morning panorama from Savista! We turned a tour of App State into a weekend getaway. Plenty of awesome hikes nearby, easy drive to Boone and Blowing Rock. Savista is a warm retreat. Kitchen is well equipped; we all slept great! Clean and welcoming; it's easy to plug in or unplug from it all. Love the "Zen" front porch with the mountain rock backdrop. Fall colors will be spectacular here. We will stay at Savista again. Communication with property manager was efficient and timely. Great overall experience. Thanks!

Super birthday weekend

  • 5 of 5

When my fiancé and I walked into your home we were bowled over by how warm and inviting was your decor. And the views? Truly stunning. We so enjoyed our stay and hope to revisit again in the future. The porch swing on a July night under the stars was a near perfect cap to a delightful stay after enjoying a delicious birthday dinner at the Table at Crestwood. Altogether heaven on earth. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful place with the world. A birthday to remember.

Gorgeous views... house needs work

  • 3 of 5

The views were just as remarkable as advertised. This house is in a great location, close to Boone, Blowing Rock, the Parkway, Linville, and Valle Crucis, with a direct view of Grandfather's profile. The house is in a gated community and despite being on the street, it was very quiet. Unfortunately, upon arrival and unpacking our food, the kitchen became infested with ants and remained that way until we bought an ant trap. Also, there were significant amounts of mouse droppings on all cookware in the cabinets. We did not see any mice but we found several unwashed (dried-on food) pots, pans, and utensils that had been put back into cabinets and drawers by a previous renter. Spiderwebs and spiders were in the bathroom sinks. The kitchen sink faucet was broken. It seems that this house had not been rented in a while and neither the owner or the management company had been by to check on it before we arrived.

I don't like to leave negative reviews without first contacting the owner. When I called the management company to receive the gate and key box codes, I was told that if I had any problems during my stay I should call the same office number and the voice mail would give an after hours number. I was told this number would be the owner's personal cell number and to text her, and then she would call back. We did not arrive to the house until after 5:00 and when we saw all of the above problems, we texted the owner. She never responded.

Owner's Response: Thank you for sharing the issues you had during your stay. We treasure all feedback, both good and bad so we can strive to offer the most perfect experience possible for every guest. For some reason the message you reported sending to the emergency phone was not received or we would have responded promptly. We have not before or after your stay had any such reports and apologize that you had those issues. I can assure you we have gone through the home extensively to make sure no one else has any such issues. We are so glad you enjoyed that amazing view. We regret that we did not receive your message so we could have acted swiftly to rectify any issues. Thank you for staying with us and we do hope you will consider returning again and taking advantage of a repeat renters rate.
