About Jenny Empson
The photo is of my husband Michael and grandson Ethan, taken with the Opera House as the backdrop. We have done lots of travelling around the world and continue to do so. I had a wonderful professional career in the Health field and am now retired.
Jenny Empson purchased this Apartment in 2000
Why Jenny Empson chose Cremorne Point
I bought this property because of it being on the Sydney Harbour foreshore , with the iconic and picture perfect views of the Opera House, Harbour and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The Opera House for me is one of the most beautiful buildings in the world and what a great place to be situated. The apartment is in a prestige quiet area , with beautiful walks that have stunning views, yet only a 10 minute ferry ride across the Harbour to Circular Quay, the CBD, numerous attractions, activities and those wonderful restaurants. .
What makes this Apartment unique
A perfect setting to view the fireworks displays from the harbour and bridge, as well as the Sydney to Hobart Yacht races. Sit and watch the ferries, watercabs, sailing and speed boats sail by your front door. You will also cruise ships and massive tankers making their way in and out of the harbour. Enjoy a picnic on the foreshore. Enjoy one of the most scenic foreshore walks in Sydney from Cremorne Point to Mosman Bay.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
Lovely, comfortable apartment with the best views and superb location a short ferry ride from the CBD but out of the hustle and bustle
It was a delight hosting you and great to know that you enjoyed your stay, the views and being away in a part of Sydney that is quiet.
Look forward to hosting you again when next in Sydney.
After our cruise this was the perfect spot to see all that Sydney had to offer. Plenty of room for 2 adult couples and we enjoyed sitting out on the lawn with our glass of wine looking at the Opera House and bay. The ferry was convenient to Circular Quay and all the sites of Sydney. The owner Jenny was very helpful and gave us many tips for sightseeing. Great information. We hope to come back again to Sydney and definitely would stay here. Thanks
It was gratifying to know that after your wonderful cruise that you found the apartment a perfect spot to explore Sydney from and found transport very easy from the apartment to see all the sights.
Everyone loves sitting out on the harbour foreshore with a cold wine ( including me) and looking across to the Opera house and all the activity on the harbour- imagine that you saw the daily cruise ships arriving and leaving!!- another wonderful sight.
It was a pleasure hosting you and hope that you all have taken home some wonderful memories and look forward to hosting you again when you come back to Sydney.
Position, position, position
We are 2 couples in our 50s and had a wonderful stay at this apartment. Position was close to ferry terminal and short bus trip to the supermarket at Cremorne. Everything you could want is in the apartment including beach towels and picnic rug, which we used sitting at the front of the apartment late afternoon with a glass of wine looking at the view. The walk along the harbour is beautiful. The weather was fantastic but unfortunately the Cremorne beach pool was closed for cleaning. Jenny was very accommodating and answered any questions without delay.
All in all we would recommend this accommodation.
Thank-you for your lovely review and I was thrilled to know that you enjoyed your stay, and had every thing in the apartment to enable you to do this, as this is exactly what I aim for.
There is nothing like sitting out on the harbour foreshore, with a cold wine looking across to the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, as you watch the activity on the harbour.
It was a shame that the pool was closed for cleaning, as we did have very hot weather throughout January.
It was good to see that you found transport easy- there is nothing like riding on a ferry on Sydney harbour.
It was a pleasure hosting you and hope to do again when you are next in Sydney.
Lovely view and apartment
The apartment and view are both outstanding and the apartment is very well equipped. You really are right on the water with the public walkway the only thing between you and the water. The views are quite stunning and we just loved sitting under the tree by the water having a drink on the fold up chairs provided. Access to the pool and ferry is close and easy and walking along the waters edge is so lovely. The owner is also very responsive and we appreciated the little goodies left there for us. Only negatives for us were the very high and deep bath/shower (it’s hard to get in and out of) and not having parking and having to lug our stuff down the very steep steps. But other than that, it was fantastic! We loved it and we will be back. Thanks Jenny.
Thank-you for taking the time to do a review- very appreciated.
It was very pleasing to read that you found the apartment and views outstanding. Being right on the harbour foreshore looking over to those unique views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge is very special and you do exactly what I do - sit out under the tree and enjoy a drink!
The harbour pool is very popular and so convenient to the apartment and once again as you swim, you take in those views.
As discussed prior to booking, there is parking available, but at the time that you were coming it could be tricky as people park there that use the harbour pool and picnic on the foreshore.
Your comment about the bath is noted, which doesn't usually present a problem for guests, but as we are wanting to renovate the bathroom shortly, the bath will be removed and only a shower insitu.
Yes, the steps down to the apartment are steep and narrow and it was unfortunate that you missed the highlighted information in the correspondence that I sent to you , where it is advised that there is an additional access to the apartment, if the steps are difficult. This access route has a lot less steps and the steps are also wider.
Since you highlighted your issue, I have redone in larger font- thank-you for commenting, which enabled me to be able to do this.
I very much look forward to hosting you in the future when you are down to Sydney from those wonderful mountains.
Excellent apartment and location
Stayed for 4 nights in Jan 2019. Probably our 6th visit. Excellent apartment with quality throughout. Everything you need for a self catering stay is provided. Fabulous views day and night, including the odd cruise ship coming or going. Spectacular sight. The Cremorne Point circuit walk along the path is fantastic, with views and amazing arts and crafts houses. The Hayden Orpheum Cinema is a heritage gem, and does screen quality films. Supermarket at Cremorne is 5 minute drive. Excellent location for ferry trips to Circular Quay and access to centre of Sydney. And what a ferry ride, with the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Thanks again Jenny, for another great stay.
Always my pleasure to host you and the family each year and look forward to doing again next year.
Amazing location, wonderful views. We met friends from overseas at Jenny's apartment and we sat out the front for hours soaking in the views and catching up. The apartment has everything you need for a wonderful stay in Sydney.
Thank-you Kathy for your lovely review and so pleased that you enjoyed the amazing location with you friends from overseas and everything was in the apartment that you needed.
Sitting out of the front of the apartment on the harbour foreshore, most certainly would have given you all some wonderful memories to take back home with you.
I am looking forward to hosting you again when next in Sydney.
