Pajaro Dunes is a gated community of condos, townhouses and private homes, located in the center of the beautiful Monterey Bay, halfway between Monterey/Carmel, and Santa Cruz. Within the gates of Pajaro Dunes, enjoy two miles of private sandy beach for sun bathing, surfing, fly a kite or bird watching at the wildlife sanctuary. The resort also provides 15+ tennis courts, sand volleyball court, soccer fields, bike trails, birding trails, club house, and many more.

Pelican Point 70 is a 4 bedrooms, 2 and half bath, top floor, ocean front condominium. Living room, dining area,and the Master Bedroom has vaulted ceiling and an expansive view of the Pacific Ocean. Master Bedroom has a loft and a view of the Pajaro River. Bedroom 2 and 3 also enjoy a view of the Pajaro River and the many shore birds along the wildlife reserve. Balcony can be access from the Living room and the master bedroom. This condo enjoys a fully remodeled kitchen with new appliances and granite counter top.

For exploration outside the Pajaro Dunes gated resort, you can head south on Highway 1 to Monterey and Carmel. You drive pass miles of Strawberry fields and Artichoke fields. There is Bird watching and kayaking at Elkhorn Slough near Moss Landing. Stop by Lover's Point in Pacific Grove and continue on to Monterey with numerous restaurants, boutique shops, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Monterey Pier, and Cannery Row. Continuing southbound on Highway 1, you get to drive on the famous 17 Miles Drive, visit the Pebble Beach Golf Course, and the town of Carmel, with all their art galleries, specialty shops and restaurants and the stunning Carmel Beach.

Heading north from Pajaro Dunes, Santa Cruz is only a short drive away with its famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, home of the all wooden roller coaster and many thrilling ride. Charming town of Capitola, and it's restaurants. For the nature lover, enjoy a ride on an old steam locomotive through the Santa Cruz Mountains making a stop to enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded in the beauty of the redwood forest.

Ocean front beach house with breathtaking views of the beach!

This amazing home is a gem! The access to the beach and the beautiful view out of the living room windows are worth every single penny! The house is also comfortable, cozy and worked for our whole family ages 5-85! There was more than enough space for 5 adults and 2 young kids. We stayed for a week and didn't want to leave. I can't believe in my 39 years living in California that this was my first time to Pajaro Dunes. I will be back for sure.

Beautiful location, beautiful view

View from living room was terrific and it was a quick walk down to the beach. The whole condo itself was functional, and worked well for our group of 8. While it was perfectly adequate, the kitchen was not well stocked, no spices, etc. The place was a bit run down, but convenient for our group.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your comments. I am so glad that you can take full advantage of our beautiful view. Unfortunately, some of our guests are harder on the property this year. We recognize it, and we are planning for a major renovation with new paint, new flooring, and new decorations. We would have liked to have the work done as soon as possible. But as you can imagine, the work requires an unoccupied window of 3-4 weeks, and many of the bookings for the summer were made well in advance. We simply cannot cancel on our guests at the last minute. We hope to begin work as soon as the calendar affords us the opportunity. Please come back and visit with us again, we would love your new comments.

Location, views and staff get 5 stars

I suppose it just depends on what is important for your vacation. You can't beat the views here. You can enjoy an ocean view or a riverview from almost every spot in the home or from the small deck. There is a wonderful walking path along the river and plenty of places to play. The whole area is so peaceful and quiet. We never even heard any neighbors. So relaxing. Being able to walk down 3 flights of stairs, then a boardwalk to an enormous stretch of beach was incredible. This made up for any other shortcomings. However, if I owned this property, I'd have to make some updates. I don't mind things being outdated aesthetically but when you have to sleep night after night on very uncomfortable beds, it's very unpleasant. It was nice to have extra blankets in the closets, but they were old and soiled. Also, the living room furniture should be replaced or at least have the cushions restuffed. Moreover, if you're going to have covers on the couches, be sure they're clean for the next visitors. The deck could use some comfortable seating as well. This place really has great potential so with some attention, it would get 5 stars. If you're considering staying here, perhaps message first to see if any updates have been made. If so, you would love it here.

We will have new paint, new flooring, and new furniture. I will also pass on your comments to the management company on site to make sure they are more thorough in cleaning the unit. Nice place, super location

I am impressed with the resort like setup. We were 6 adults with 5 kids. Just right for what we wanted. The views of the river and Ocean are beautiful and super convenient. The outdoors look very old but the interiors are well maintained. Towels and bed linen were plenty too. Overall definitely a place we will come back to.

Our fifth year coming here!

We look forward to our stay here every August. There are many choices out there for beachside resorts, so the fact that we keep returning here says it all. For a large family, or even a few friends who each desire a little privacy, this lovely, spacious condo is a perfect fit. Of course, a major draw is a huge expanse of windows that offers a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. Lana's home here is clean, well-equipped and with a location that's unbeatable. We are sad to leave!
