About Shirley Papp
I have been a Real Estate Broker since the age of 21. I love helping people find and make the house of their dreams. 10 years ago I purchased the Belvedere Suites as an apartment building and began to decorate and furnish it for myself, and it grew from there. I never wanted to stop furnishing it. Thats how it became the Memphis Belvedere Suites.
Shirley Papp purchased this Apartment in 2005
Why Shirley Papp chose Central Midtown
The property is so Nostalgic. It take you back in time to the French Quarter and another day in History. The building was built in 1907 for the Cotton Barons who came and went down the Mississippi river. Part of the original "Suburbs of Memphis."
What makes this Apartment unique
The building is still all original inside and out. With its Crown Molding and built in Cabinetry, original stairs, (No Elevators) Its just a delight to be here. This is not your Typical apartment building. Its Unique wrought iron Trellises surround the Balconies on most of the exterior units.

Perfect and comfy family stay
We loved staying here, the little courtyard, off street parking, the architecture. The apatrment is spotlessly clean and functional. Several reataurants just around the corner, a great grocery store a couple of blocks away and minutes to downtown and all the sights by car. We had breakfast at home and a couple of dinners instead of eating all mesls out. Our kids are 10 and 12 and were super comfy on the pull out bed.
For me, this was the ideal location. Close to everything in the Midtown area with many excellent restaurants in a 4 block radius. The downtown area is only a $7 uber ride away. I found it most economical to uber to 1 area, and do everything I could there each day. Everyone that I met was very kind and offered up ideas of things to do, places to eat, etc. That being said I recommend asking the locals about current events, I ended up enjoying free concerts at the Civil Rights museum and Levitt Shell during my stay. The Memphis Zoo is amazing and the Botanical Garden had a Japanese Festival. Memphis has so much to offer apart from the normal tourist venues, so definitely do a little research before heading into town. The apartment itself was a good size, far more spacious than I had expected. Furnishings were modest and comfortable, although the box spring of the bed seemed to fall off the frame on the one side daily, and it took a little work to lift and pull it back into position. Also, be careful when you shower as the hot water knob becomes VERY HOT by the end when you go to turn it off. Apart from these minor issues, the space was perfect and I would be happy to return and stay here again! :)
Review of Shirleys house!
Very nice hostess! Our coffee pot was on the fritz and she had a brand new one delivered. Very homey!
Walking distance to Restaurants, groceries, bars, antique stores. Plenty of local activities and just minutes from downtown Memphis, Beale st., Riverfront, Graceland 15 minute drive.
