About Carrie Valladares
We are a large family with a long history in the Pacific Northwest. After growing up clamming, crabbing and enjoying the water, we wanted to share that with our children so we bought this cabin in 2015. After a year spent remodeling it into our perfect family vacation cabin, we are ready to share it with you. We hope you love it as much as we do!

Why Carrie Valladares chose Lilliwaup
We knew this was the house for us as soon as we saw it. We didn't look at a single other property. The floor to ceiling windows let in the night sky and make the cabin bright all year round. The view of the water through giant evergreens is quintessential pacific northwest. We are only 15 minutes from grocery shopping, a local winery, distillery, and only 30 minutes from golfing and the spa at Alderbrook. There are 3 great restaurants within no more than a 10 minute drive, and hiking abounds.

Great getaway location
The clean, well appointed, vacation home is perfectly located at the waterfront in the beautiful Hood Canal area. I loved relaxing on the porch and listening to the birds, and the little creek just beyond the backyard. Shell-fishing was a great bonus; just be respectful to the neighbors' boundaries, the fishing laws, and most of all Mother Nature. And visiting the vast Olympic National Park was an amazing experience. Despite a couple minor inconveniences, we had a great time. Be sure to bring (or buy) your own soap and shampoo. The owner was very polite and responsive. I would certainly come back.again.
Lovely beachfront home
We loved our stay here. The house is nicely decorated and very comfortable. Everything in the home for guests to use (e.g., sheets, bedding, cutlery, dishes) is of good quality. There was plenty of space for our party of five (two adults, three kids), and it could comfortably sleep a couple more depending on sleeping needs (both adults in our party occupied separate bedrooms). The property is beautiful and has a unique freshwater stream (runoff) winding through the property and into the Sound. The only drawbacks were: no internet, no soaps in the shower or next to the kitchen sink, no toaster, and the driveway is extremely challenging to get in and out of. Directions for navigating to the correct driveway also inaccurately say go right and right again, but it's actually left and left again once you're off the highway. Area eating options are also quite dire, so pack plenty of delicious food and enjoy a relaxing weekend of solitude at the house.
Charming and inviting - great character
We were impressed with the interior decor of this beachfront cabin. A very cozy place to spend a weekend with friends. The oysters we harvested from the beach front did not disappoint - and as mentioned, make sure to not cross over to neighbors beach front properties and educate yourself with the state laws for oyster harvesting. In the summer mornings, the sun will heat up the main living room and dining room area, but there is a fan you can turn on. It would be nice to have a screen door to let the cool breeze in from the beach. Overall pleasant stay.
Lovely home and great customer service
We were so pleased with our stay at this breathtaking rental. It was such a beautiful setting and great home for folks with kiddos. Our children had an amazing time playing on the beach, in the water, and finding crabs and clams. The neighbors were exceptionally kind and friendly and loaned us a child life jacket and boat to head out to explore the water.
There was a few minor issues upon arrival that were simply an oversight and we contacted the owner to let her know. She was extremely prompt in her reply and empathetic towards the situation and graciously went out of her way to fix the situation. We were so grateful for her kind attitude and understanding.
I would recommend taking note that there are not laundry facilities on site. We didn't see this in our initial excitement to book the property and after a few days, on the beach, with small kids, we needed to head into Olympia to get our laundry clean. It gave us a great opportunity to visit the Children's Museum and pick up additional provisions at Trader Joe's. We also had ZERO cell service so be prepared to truly unplug during your stay.
Overall, we would recommend this home time and time again. We met some amazing folks, relaxed with incredible weather, the solar eclipse and great company. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
Great location and comfortable home
We had a wonderful stay and loved the view and location. The creek running trough the property was an unexpected bonus which are granddaughters loved. We enjoyed the oysters which were so easy to harvest and the clam digging at Humptulips which were also easy to find. The house was well supplied and comfortable and we loved spending time on the large deck. Ahh, and so quiet and serene!
Beautiful water views!
My family and I had an amazing time enjoying this beautiful location! The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed!
