The home is on a hill with unobstructed coastal vies of the waterways, Dunes and the Ocean in the distance. Its quiet, romantic and very lavishly appointed with all new higher end furniture , TV and appliances . The basement has a 220 plug that I use on my electric car. Deer visit in the evening and plenty of on-property parking for family and friends Truly a little Oregon gem.

We had a fantastic stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was a beautiful home with a view, in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect for a peaceful get-a-way. And close enough to explore all the things to do in the area. We were treated so well, like special guests!!! We'll definitely return.

Not as advertised - worst experience ever renting vacation house

  • 1 of 5

If you like hearing dune buggies rev until at least midnight, Highway 101 traffic all night, and living in a "fish bowl" you'll love this house. Only 3 windows had coverings. The master bedroom French doors did not so as soon as daylight broke you were done trying to sleep. The house was not very clean or organized. Every dish we pulled out was dirty, and there was little dish soap so we had to call for more. There were cigarette butts and some sort of old food in the garage which smelled like mouse droppings. The smoke detector downstairs did not have batteries. Stairs are dangerous. 2 prong plugs (no round ground) in all the but the kitchen and bathroom so adapter needed to plug in electronics (we had to call for those too). Ample mold growing on the shower curtain. Clearview decking panels would have been enjoyable had they been cleaned recently. There were several generations of spiders living there along with general dirt. No clocks visible in the dark (all battery operated ticking dark clocks). The icing on the cake was on departure day when I was buzzed by a BAT downstairs! And yes, I had been trying to sleep down there for 3 nights. Would not return to this house on a bet, or recommend it to anyone. Our anniversary getaway was memorable, for sure, but not in a positive way. Regret renting this house and spending the money. First time using VRBO; likely won't use again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. Looking back on the reviews and my own experience with the home the large windows overlooking the coast are a plus,I will not cover them up as the same for bedroom door off the master to the balcony.. The rooms have no visible neighbors and the views are spectacular and the feedback has been real postive about the morning light in the master, espically since it's looking out over the coast on a hill with no neighbors. Very private..My sister manages the home and last time I was up there she had a bat in her house. It freaked me out being a city boy. I will make sure there is no bat in my basement part of the home. The cleaner does s professional job and at anytime during your stay you could have called the manager to have any corrective action Durning your stay. You did not. The manager informed you of that and lives right down the street and was available to you through out your stay.I think it it is best that you choose another home in the future, I do believe the Host/guest was just as unpleasant as the Guest/ host experience may have been for you.

Coastal trip from Newport to Coos Bay.

  • 5 of 5

The home was very comfortable with gorgeous landscaping. We had a great time! Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. The property manager was friendly and helpful. We had a lot of rainy days, but still managed to make the most of the trip and did everything we planned. We are already planning a trip next year with a longer stay in the North Bend/Coos Bay area. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Cozy and Comfortable Home Away from Home

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay. The home is cozy and has everything you need. The view of the bay and dunes is incredible. Great location to explore the area around Coos Bay. The neighborhood is quiet and was wonderful for walking our dog. Tully is super sweet and made our stay even more special. We can't wait to come back! Thank you Patrick and Tully!
