About the property

Cottage, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, Sleeps 8

The Wayback Cottage is perfect for a couple or a group of friends and family (up to eight) looking to enjoy a private and secluded getaway surrounded by the beauty of the Texas Hill Country.

Located in quaint Dripping Springs, "The Wedding Capital of Texas", this spotless vacation rental truly lets you leave the world behind and spend quality time with fellow travelers. Explore or hike the property, then cuddle under the bright, star-filled sky. The main street of Dripping Springs is 13 miles away, and booming Austin is 33 miles for additional attractions and nightlife.

With a no-frills-needed atmosphere, this house feels exceptionally welcoming with wood floors, updated furnishings, and a flare of stylish decor.

Gather the group in the living room to catch a movie on the flatscreen TV (Blu-ray DVD player attached), stream music on the WiFi, and dive into a good book while lounging on the leather sofas. A nearby dining table for four is great for sit-down meals together followed by a laughter-filled game night.

A nice pop of teal on the kitchen cabinets brightens up the full kitchen. Not only are major appliances provided, but add-ons like a dishwasher, mixer, toaster, coffeemaker, French press, blender, and more make whipping up tasty meals a breeze. On warm evenings, head out to the patio table to dine al fresco and take in the clean, fresh air.

Come nightfall, retreat to any of the three bedrooms for a good night's sleep. The inviting master bedroom features a king-size memory foam mattress and en suite bathroom with a tub/shower combo. A queen-sized memory foam bed occupies the second room, which also has a full attached bathroom. The last bedroom has a full-size bed, a twin with a trundle, and a bathroom attached as well.

With three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a washer/dryer, all eight guests will feel right at home.

After a morning hike, spend a day shopping and browsing through the downtown or farmers market in Dripping Springs. Or go for a wine tour, swim in the stunning natural Hamilton Pool, drive the famed Hill Country, and visit the nearby river and state park. Take a day, perhaps, and drive into downtown Austin for a concert, a music festival, or to shop and dine!

Discover the magic that makes this gorgeous area a lovers paradise.

About Vacasa, TX - Texas Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wifes family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Great place

  • 4 of 5

It was the closest possible spot for our wedding venue- Vista West Ranch- made life soooo much easier! Views are very pretty- having 3 restrooms was invaluable! Kitchen adequate- no complaints.

clean, lack of utensils, slow wifi, lots of flies in the house

  • 3 of 5

The house is clean and spacious. If you are planning to cook in the house, it not a good idea. The house will smell, because they dont have the stove fan, and you will have to open the door. And when thats happen, Flies will get in the house. The wifi is slow, and is not working property, and we have to use our hotspot. The house is hard to find and it really confusing. There were no sugar for coffee. Everything else is good, house is clean, quiet place. Except the showers water is weird, it is either too cold or too hot.

Very cute and quaint

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful time staying here for spring break. This cabin is tucked away about 50 yards from the road and is very quiet and peaceful. Has great views and very easily slept our party of 7. Would definitely stay here again.

Great get away!

  • 5 of 5

We were a small group attached to a large wedding and needed smaller lodging and this was perfect. Nice quiet. We had a couple of issues upon check in (wasps/wifi/toilet & shower not working perfectly) but I called and they were out the same day to fix. Internet/Wifi this far out is what you would expect, can stream TV on the ROKU provided pretty well. It was perfect for my son's wedding weekend. Had everything we needed. And fantastic thick towels. Thanks very much!

Cute and clean cabin in hill country!

  • 4 of 5

This cabin was really cute and very accomodating for my family (2 adults, 2 small children). The rooms were spacious, the kitchen had everything you needed and the towels were very plush and the beds very comfortable. I would recommend the description be updated to include details about the driveway coming in. We rented a sedan and bottomed out twice and had to upgrade to an SUV. It wouldve been helpful to know it is a bit treacherous so we would have been prepared. Other than that it is quiet, clean and cute! Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at the Wayback Cottage. The rooms are great - each bedroom has a bathroom which was helpful since we were staying there for a wedding near by. The wifi was helpful since service in the are is spotty. The only downside was their front gate. It kept coming off the hinge and almost fell on our car.
