About Susan Randall
I am a 49 year old mom of two great teenagers, ages 15 & 17. I have worked as a private investigator in Vermont for 20 years, and love people & helping the solve their mysteries! I also enjoy the outdoors, and the ocean. I love hanging out with my awesome kids and my husband, hiking, snowboarding, cross country skiing, yoga & meditation, and I most especially love traveling. I look forward to sharing my magical home in Warren with fellow travelers!
Susan Randall purchased this House in 2007
Why Susan Randall chose Warren
When I first walked into this house I knew I wanted to buy it and live there. I fell in love with the light, the tall windows, walls of glass, quirky balconies, and the fire pole (between the floor with the master bedroom and the floor with the kids' rooms) won my kids over. It is a very creative space, thought-provoking and inspiring. The community also is unique and one-of-a-kind, with its 56 acres of common land, the pond and an inspired, talented group of smart, interesting, loving families. I really loved raising my two great kids here.
What makes this House unique
Sleeping in the master bedroom, with a full moon staring down over the whole valley, is a unique experience. I also love the loft space on the 4th floor, perching atop the whole valley. And the mile-long sledding hill behind the house, on the 'magic meadow' is not to be missed! The shared pond and rope swing, also a gem in the summer.

Great place for large families
This house offers lots of space and the views are simply amazing. The house was very clean and cozy. The decor was nice and the beds were comfortable with soft sheets and extra blankets for those cool Vermont nights. I especially loved the master bedroom with the panoramic window overlooking the mountains. It was so serene and quiet compared to our home in the city.
The owner responded patiently to all my questions. She was very kind and provided all the information we needed to make our stay enjoyable. I would definitely rent this property again and I would recommend it to others visiting this area of Vermont.
Kitchen was well equipped but could have used larger pots and maybe a griddle to make cooking for 7 people easier.
The only hiccup we encountered was that the dryer wasn’t working, forcing us to hang dry our clothes which took two days to dry this way. We wouldn’t have done any laundry if we had known the dryer was broken. I also wish I had brought more than one pair of jeans since I was forced to wear dress pants until my jeans were dry :-(
So glad you had a nice weekend, and liked the house. And sorry you had a problem with the dryer. I wish you had called me to let me know, we would have sent someone right over! We checked it out, and I guess there was a vent that was open on the side, easy fix. Sorry you had to deal with that! Please never hesitate to call me or text me with any issues. Hope you come back again! Cheers!
Great location, views and owner
This is a repeat rental for us, because the first experience was so great! Close enough to Sugarbush to be very convenient, but far enough away to enjoy the VT experience. Beautiful setting and great house. I would highly recommend it for a family or even two families. Plenty of room!
Beautiful Location and House. Enjoyed our stay.
Stayed here with my family and our 2 aunts through New Years eve. We really enjoyed Susan's home. A uniquely designed home (which we loved), beautiful views, clean and very comfortable living area especially when we had the wood stove going! There was plenty of space for all of us. There are 4 floors as mentioned (including a loft) so obviously there are 3 sets of stairs, though our 4 year old negotiated them with ease, so it wasn't an issue for us.
The location was about a 10 or so minute drive to the Sugarbush Lincoln Mt. access and about ~15 or so minutes to Waitsfield which had a fun outdoor ice rink and the new Lawson's Brewery if your into that.
Susan seemed very nice in all my interactions with her, she was communicative and responded quickly when I had a question. I would highly recommend her place and would definitely rent here again!
Thank you so much Darrell, I’m so glad you all enjoyed yourselves. Really appreciate that you left the place so neat! Come back anytime!
Charming Home With Great Views
The house had everything we needed. It was clean and cozy. Susan was great and made sure all was well. We would stay here again.
A Slice of Vermont History
Thank you Susan for being a genial hostess! Susan filled me in on the history of her home, which made our visit even better! We loved this quirky house! I will say the walkway to and from the house and the numerous stairs in the house might make elderly, or those with very young children think twice. For us, it was perfect! The views are amazing! Thank you again, Susan!
Love this house
We have stayed at Susan’s multiple times and will keep coming back.
Our house is located less than 10 minutes from Sugarbush Mountain, which offers skiing and snowboarding, as well as Blueberry Lake cross-country ski center, and Ole's Cross Country ski center that has groomed trails. There are 56 acres of land behind the house, with a mile long sledding hill, and a community pond for swimming in the summer and skating in the winter.
