About Leancy Rupert
25+ year resident of Flagstaff, you'll find me all about town, with Sadie, my smiling yellow lab who goes with me everywhere. I currently am the caretaker of a 160 acre ranch. I am a visual artist, with a focus on painting and sculpture. I love good jazz and blues music. I love the energy of New York City, the galleries, the museums and I look forward to the day I can visit the Florence and Tuscany area, for the food and art. Recovering photographer.
Leancy Rupert purchased this House in 2016
Why Leancy Rupert chose Southside Neighborhood
Proximity to downtown and an upscale shopping area (both within walking distance) is one of the greatest benefits of this home, not to mention the historical charm of the home itself. Built in 1938, this cottage remains in excellent condition with all of the original craftsman woodwork. It's wonderful to be so close to it all! With private front and back yards, and a plethora of off-street parking, it's fun to sit on the front porch and watch the pedestrians walk by. A quiet, old time neighborhood, in the heart of it all.
What makes this House unique
You'll find the woodwork in this home, coupled with the updated granite counters in the kitchen and the clean tile work in the bathroom, appealing. Hardwood floors and a built-in outdoor BBQ next to the private, fenced backyard. Friendly, unique neighbors.

Charming and well-located
The cottage was very comfortable yet reminiscent of an earlier era, complete with wood floors, dining room, and beautiful old apple trees in full bloom in the front yard. Within an easy walk of NAU and the old downtown area. The house had everything we needed -- we'd definitely stay again.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay.
Very clean Craftsman house down town
Walking everywhere downtown from this location was easy and so convenient. The hospitality was great and everything was as expected
Very cute, comfortable and clean!
My husband and I had a great time here. It was a great location and very comfortable. The street was quiet and we got great sleep. I will be recommending this house to all of my friends coming through Flagstaff. Thanks again!
Perfectly close to shopping and eateries
We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cottage. I enjoyed coffee in the front room while watching birds forage in the front yard. It was quiet but close enough to walk to shops and eateries along San Francisco Street and Route 66. I was very pleased to have the ceiling fans in the bedrooms for the warmer nights. It felt very comfortable and homey.
Thanks for a nice stay!!
Relaxed, clean, comfortable, very convenient.
My sister and I were very satisfied with our cozy cottage in Flagstaff. It was the perfect location to stay and visit the places we planned to see, Grand Canyon, Sedona, Lake Powell, the Painted Desert, and Jerome. We returned each day to a wonderful home to relax and rest. The area is quiet and convenient to downtown Flagstaff and since we were taking the train home the location was ideal. I definitely would stay here again. We had everything we needed in the house to make our stay in Arizona delightful. Thank you Leancy.
Nice old home
It was an old home, but very clean and well kept. The home fit it well with theme of Flagstaggs down town, which was in walking distance. It slept 3 adults comfortable in beds, the air mattress queen size, self inflatable and fit 2 more. There was plenty of living space for 5 of us. We loved the old feel of the home!
I,m glad you enjoyed your stay.
In addition to being close to the heart of everything Flagstaff, this little gem sits less than one mile away from Northern Arizona University. Make this place your regular stay when visiting your student. Walk to restaurants and the newest shopping, just across the street. Whole Foods is the nearest grocery store, within walking distance. Willow Bend Environmental Education Center is a mere 1/2 mile away and is your gateway to miles of the Flagstaff Urban Trail that encircles the entire city.
