Charming, newly decorated apartment on a beautiful property in one of Asheville's historic neighborhoods. Hardwood floors throughout, private, and charming. Superb location midway between downtown (1.3 miles) and the Biltmore house (0.7 miles). There are two flights of steps if you count the steps leading up to the porch. This apartment is ideal for one or two people but will accommodate up to three people. It has a queen sized bed in one bedroom and a twin bed and work space in another. There are two full bathrooms - one with a shower/tub and one with a claw foot tub. The kitchen is 100% fully equipped with everything you need for utilities (no coffee though). Off street parking, Roku, and internet.

Why Owner chose Kenilworth
The location is superb. The apartment itself is charming and very comfortable.

There was 20 steps from the entrance to the door. We were met with an old musty smell. The fridge was dirty, and over-all, there truly needs to be some TLC to welcome guests. There was no instructions, no dish washer as vrbo says, no washer/dryer, and no curtains or blinds on some windows. This was not like any other vrbo I have stayed in, would not stay again. I did inform the owner, she offered us to find other accommodations and she would refund our money. We checked in at 4pm, tickets to Biltmore next morning, we had already brought our things up 20 steps one way, there was no way after driving we could take that offer. We are 60y, and the steps were difficult back and forth. The owner did offer to come and take our things back to our car, but again, due to time constraints, our expectations would be the apartment would be clean and welcoming...it was not. For some people, this would be a great place, very bohemian and old type home...We appreciate you allowing us to stay, we wish anyone that stays to find it worth while. We checked out by 8:30 am...It was very close to Biltmore, which was a great thing.
I would not stay here again due to the musty, moldy and mildewy odor of the property.
This property is unique and clean. I love that many of its original features have been preserved such as the tile floors, claw foot tubs and woodwork. It is obvious the owner has spent money to preserve it and make it comfortable.
It is so conveniently located to Biltmore and downtown Asheville.
However, the property smells musty, moldy and mildewy. Even burning candles in every room didn't help. This made the stay almost intolerable.
I would recommend that the owner correct this unpleasant health hazard.
Not to bad could have been better
Too many steps we had my Mom with us. Musty smell . Tv was nice. Beds were comfortable. Good location. No bars of soap. Good kitchen supplies.
Good location. Close parking. Aptmt had strange floor plan.
Would have given much better rating if this aptmt had air conditioning that actually kept the whole place cool enough. My husband & I couldn't even sleep in the same bed for 2 reasons. 1) the bdrm only had portable a/c that really didn't cool at all. 2) The bed-not sure if it was a queen or a full size but it was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on in my 56 years! The only cool spot in the place was in the living room in front of the tiny window unit a/c, which is where we took turns sleeping on the couch. The couch was more comfortable than the bed! ALSO, other than the bedroom windows, there are no window coverings of any kind. Being that we like our privacy, we took sheets & a blanket that was there & covered the large living room & kitchen windows. So, to sum this up, IF the place had much better a/c & adequate window coverings in the living rm & kitchen & a MUCH better mattress, at least a queen size, it could be the perfect place to stay for a trip to Asheville.
Perfect for a weekend getaway!
My boyfriend and I visited for a wedding and stayed in this apartment. It was beautiful, clean, and the owners were very nice and readily available for recommendations and everything we needed! I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a romantic getaway or a girls weekend!
What more could you need?
Bed, shower, some tv, a kitchen. What more could you want? Awesome location between downtown and Biltmore Village.
Bring your own soap, coffee and filters. None provided. Otherwise, exactly as advertised. We'll remember this one.....
