Not What We Expected

These accommodations were not quite what we had hoped for. We were supposed to receive an access code 24 hours prior to arrival, which we did not receive until I sent a request for it 4 hours before we were to arrive. Another email I sent days before the trip did not even receive a response. When we arrived around 10:30PM Friday night, I went up to the third floor to gain access to the elevator so we could get our luggage. I went to the guest binder and it stated there was to be a key to use for the elevator. The key was not there. I called D.C. Reeves and his phone messages were full. I called the second contact Kevin Hagen and when I told him who I was and that the elevator key was missing he was annoyed and told me that the elevator was not included since guests did not use it properly. I told him the ad stated we had access to an elevator and he told me the elevator references were removed a long time ago, basically called me a liar. Since it was late l decided to deal with it later. No one ever called me back and I just let it go since I already lugged the 4 bags up 34 stairs! Very disappointing. The good points: nice view, spacious, newer building. Bad points, traffic noise, bridge construction daily and you hear a loud pile driver all the time, area rug and floors were really dirty and seemed like not vacuumed or cleaned in a way could you walk barefoot on these dirty floors, cheap and creaky beds, sparse furniture and if you turn on the bathroom sinks too fast, you will be splashed.

Beautiful condo with gorgeous view

Our family of three loved this condo! Not only is it beautifully decorated, the condo has one of the most gorgeous views from the balcony. D.C. was very responsive to texts and we had no issues during our stay. Highly recommend this property. It is close to historical downtown Pensacola, many great restaurants and stunning sunrises and sunsets. We will definitely be back!

Heavy Traffic with a Gorgeous View

Pros: View is exactly like photos, location is perfect for getting downtown or to the beach, shops and restaurants nearby, clean

Cons: Heavy traffic day and into the early hours (in fairness, we were there on a Friday and Sat. night). The condo is situation between two main roads so both bedrooms are affected by traffic noise. TV's are hard to operate if you are only used to having cable TV, elevator was unusable due to lack of key, stairs to the 3rd floor are straight up with without any noticeable break (think stadium stairs), patio only has 2 high top chairs with table for seating. We were a party of 4.

We did talk with owner about lack of elevator key and were told that people had gotten stuck in elevator and they decided to take away key. He was lukewarm in his offer to bring us a key. We also had to call about the wifi password not being where the instruction said it was. He said they had recently changed servers and had not updated the instruction. We did find a way to work around the elevator by having one person putting luggage and groceries by the ground floor elevator and having a 2nd person walk up to the condo and open the private door to allow passenger and luggage to unload. Repeated process when leaving at the end of our stay.

For us, the pros and cons were a wash and thus the 3 star rating.

Owner's Response: We appreciate your response. In every other case of a review we typically like to address issues, see how we can improve and make it better. That's always our goal. But in rare cases, you just have to realize you can't please the unappeasable. It's hard to help answer questions when the visitor is extremely rude on the phone, cutting you off and not letting you speak. That was a first ever in any of our vacation rentals - even ones who left large messes, etc. were never that rude to us on the phone. The internet password, like every other cable company in the United States, is located on the router. This was no different. We would have been happy to provide an elevator key, but we were cut off, told we were going "on and on" about it and that they had already solved the problem. We appreciate your stay, and next time, some mutual friendliness and kindness before complaining about what we didn't do I believe would be mutually beneficial.

clean and we'll maintained

Great central location to downtown and beaches. Condo was spotless when we arrived and everything was ready to go.

cons were not enough cookware if you plan on eating in and the train tracks are nearby and it blows the whistle occasionally late at night. Overall my family had a great experience at this condo and I would highly recommend it.

Great place.

This was a perfect place for our weekend trip to Pensacola to visit friends. All the conveniences of a hotel stay, but with the added benefits that come with a full kitchen and laundry. The view was great and we spent our evenings on the back porch catching up and reflecting on our day. Extremely clean and great style. We hope to be back soon.
