It's very peaceful and quiet out here. I love it, particularly in the fall and winter. Summer brings lots of mosquitoes and is not the perfect time unless you plan on staying inside a lot, that's why I charge a little less then.
There's also bird seed here if you'd like to put it out for the birds. We frequently have the Piliated woodpecker in the yard as well as the occasional hawk and egret. Once in a while there will be rabbits, possum and raccoon.
And, if you are an early riser, the deer are in the yard pretty much everyday about 5am. And, the wild turkey. They visit daily.
We also also have 4 bikes for guests use. They are simple Huffy 26 inch bikes, specially selected for dirt roads, and few mechanics, so that most anyone can ride them. If you are larger or smaller framed, you might want to bring your own.
Pets are welcome for a $10 per night extra fee, with a discount if staying 7 nights or longer. We provide a welcome kit for our furry guests that includes treats, toy and poop bags.
