*SUMMER 2018 PLAZA RENOVATION - Please note that the Village plaza is being renovated this summer. Construction will go on throughout the during daylight hours, Monday-Friday. A boardwalk will be constructed to allow access to the businesses in this area as well as to the back entrance to Zephyr Mountain Lodge. ** Our unit does not face the plaza so the noise or dust from the summer work should not impact the comfort of our condo.**
*AUG-NOV ELEVATOR REPLACEMENT - The elevators in both Zephyr Mountain Lodge buildings are being replaced this summer. The construction will take place in our building (and both elevators will be out) August 1-December 1. Although our unit is on the lobby level and doesn’t require elevator access, the construction could be loud during the daytime. I have blocked these dates for reservations but if you would like to know more and possibly stay during this time, feel free to contact me with an inquiry.
You're going to love this vacation property! The Zephyr Mountain Lodge opened in 2000 and, unlike any other property found in Winter Park, it is truly ski-in/ski-out and only 110 feet from the Zephyr Express lift. This condo is a lobby-level unit in the Riverside building, facing the continental divide with a balcony overlooking Fraser Creek. It also is one of the only condos with 10-foot ceilings in the building, which makes it feel a bit larger than it is. Like a hotel it is furnished with linens and bathroom supplies, but like a condo it does not offer maid service.
Located on a quiet hallway on the main level, this unit saves you from ever having to take the elevator or stairs to get to/from the ski lockers or lifts each day (a huge time saver!). It features a full kitchen stocked with the essentials—perfect whether you simply want to brew a cup of coffee in your pajamas or make your own meals. With a new king memory foam mattress in the bedroom and two pull-out twin sleepers in the living room, four people can sleep very comfortably here. High ceilings make the unit feel a bit more spacious than others, but it still offers cozy seating in front of the fireplace and as well as on the balcony overlooking the Fraser River.
The locals know why Winter Park is Colorado's favorite--more snow annually on average and an authentic Colorado ski town. More snow means more powder days as well as better conditions overall. The terrain is naturally divided into 7 different terrains, making the Winter Park area a great place to learn to ski/ride and progress into a solid skier or rider. Once you visit Winter Park/Mary Jane, you will not ski or ride anywhere else.
In addition to great family skiing on the Winter Park side, the Mary Jane side challenges even the most advanced skiers and riders: Voted #1 bumps in North America for as long as I can remember, Mary Jane offers great powder-stashed tree runs, cliffs and steeps that will get your adrenaline pumping. Just ask a local riding up the Super Gauge Express, Challenger or Iron Horse lifts for a few of his/her favorite lines. Without a doubt the Jane has its cult followers!
Winter Park Resort is more than just skiing and snowboarding. During summer, fall and spring, it is a recreation wonderland with over 2500 acres of on-mountain trails. There's a reason Winter Park is called Mountain Bike Capital USA. With an astounding 600 miles of trails, many of them lift-accessible, there's simply no limit to the fun you can have—and no end to the gorgeous Rocky Mountain vistas you'll see along the way! There are lakes and streams ideal for boating, kayaking and fly fishing. The Pole Creek Golf Course is a picturesque, 18-hole championship course just fifteen miles away. I could go on and on ... but better yet, come and see Winter Park Resort for yourself!
Did I mention that this condo is only 110 feet from the lift? This means that while everyone else is on a bus to get back to their condo, you’ll already be enjoying a soak in the hot tub or an après ski beverage in front of your own fireplace.
