Southern hospitality doesn’t begin to describe this area of NC or John & Carol. Hugs from us

A fantastic week at Lake Norman

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week from April 29th to May 5th at Carol and John's home on Lake Norman.

The weather was wonderful, the lake was warm and the accommodations were

very good. Comfortable beds, a screened porch that we lived on (even ate dinner on

the porch) and a fully appointed kitchen.

We hope to return next year. We could not ask for better home owners.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review, we were pleased when you told us everyone enjoyed your vacation there and that you had no problems with anything. Although we have, in the last year & a half, bought new mattresses, new bedding, new kitchen appliances, including a new Jennairdowndraft oven with interchangeable griddle, grill & glass top, new furniture for the deck, new grey couch for the living room, etc. the home does now need a new coat of paint on the interior, which we have been unable to do, as it has been booked continuously including during the winter. As soon as we get a free week we will be getting the painting done. It is an older home as they have the best lots, ours is on an acre with 200 feet of lakefront and the water at the dock is never less then 20 feet.

A GREAT Vacation ! ! !

  • 4 of 5

Our first time to the Lake Norman area and we could not have found a better place to call home for the week. The house is at the end of a dead end street with all kinds of privacy and seclusion. Boaters, plenty of space to store your trailers while your boat is on the water for your stay. The house is clean and the lay out is outstanding. We can not say enough about the screened porch area... could barely tell you what the rest of the house was like because we spent all of our time out there. The dock was nice, we all enjoyed swimming and fishing off it. Deep water so no worries there. Way back in off main lake so no waves beating your boat up or rocking the dock while your relaxing. Across the cove is a marina, perfect for refueling and getting ice to enjoy the day out on a beautiful lake. John & Carole were very nice and responded to every call and question through out the entire rental process. Thanks for allowing pets... our dog loved running around chasing the squirrels and deer.

Great relaxing vacation stay

  • 4 of 5

We rented this house because of proximity to our daughter, who lives in Charlotte. The screened porch was perfect for relaxing and watching the wildlife (squirrels, birds). Nice kitchen with excellent pots and pans (unusual in a rental). The house is close to shopping and restaurants. We would certainly stay here again when visiting our daughter and will recommend this rental to our friends.
