Unit was situated in a great spot. Very convenient. The apartment was clean and had absolutely everything we needed and more. Very comfortable stay for 9 people. Would definitely recommend this property

Loved it!

Our family of 6 stayed during our awesome visit to Sydney. We loved the location of this apartment, a block from the local Cole's market and a 2 minute walk to the Pyrmont pedestrian bridge (leads right to main attractions at Darling Harbor). The home was well-stocked with more than we ever expected, and we were so glad to not have to buy basics like washer soap and cooking paper. Since it is near a happening area, you should expect some street noise at night (occasional loud passersby and cars). We had rented a car and used the garage parking, but having a car in Sydney is really not necessary (we would go without one next time). Home was clean and is also as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. We would recommend it!

Great location

The apartment is in an excellent location, where you can walk to tons of attractions and restaurants. The décor is not luxurious (some of the furnishings have a student-housing feel) but it is comfortable.

Taking a dim view.

We agree with the prior two reviewers about the maintenance of the apartment. With an investment of a few hundred dollars, the apartment could be brought up to standard. We arrived to find minimal lighting (8 light fixtures had missing or burned out bulbs and all ceiling 2 bulb fixtures had only 1 bulb of low wattage). The hall light burned out while we were there. On a call to our contact we were told that the handy man would come the next day at 11:00 to fix the lights. No one ever came. There were no basic ingredients as advertised and no spatula to use. The house can sleep eight, has silverware for seven, and wine glasses for five. The area is noisy especially on the weekend and having to keep the windows open in the bedrooms due to no air conditioning did not help. You might note that the problems encountered by the prior reviewers were not remedied leading to the conclusion that no one cares. The one redeeming fact is that the location is close to Darling Harbor and walkable to CBD.

Apartment at Darling Harbour

We stayed in this apartment from 25th February 2017 for one week. It is a very spacious apartment with two bathrooms and a separate toilet. It is in a fantastic location, only five minutes' walk from the beautiful Darling Harbour and fifteen to the Westfield Shopping Mall.

It was reasonably clean on arrival.

However, it is advertised as an air conditioned apartment when in fact only the lounge has an air conditioning unit in it. There are two upper floors housing the bedrooms and bathrooms and these only have fans. These rooms are unbearably hot at night. During our stay, the outside temperature averaged 27degrees which heated the rooms up to an uncomfortable temperature at night. We could not have spent our holiday in this apartment had the temperature been in the 40s as was mentioned by the previous renters. Carpets throughout do not help to cool the apartment! A high degree of maintenance is required. The bathroom cabinets are in a state of disrepair - the drawers and cupboards were dirty and stained and we did not want to use them. Light fittings needed repaired. There are television/computer cables strewn across various floors and could easily be tripped over. Glass topped coffee table in lounge is insecure and would be a danger to young children. Continual activity in building throughout the night. Ill fitting blinds. Not the standard I expected for 2600AD.

Problems with payments through VRBO. Their telephone numbers are unobtainable and although Help Centre acknowledged my email requesting assistance, this was subsequently ignored.

Looks nice but has significant issues with the description and maintenance

The apartment was not well maintained, had a bug problem and had insufficient air conditioning. Bugs were found on all levels, including several roaches and other crawling bugs. The unit was advertised as air conditioned, but only the first level had an AC unit. The bedrooms on the 2nd level and 3rd level were not air conditioned. Upon arrival, the air conditioning unit was not working properly. After waiting for 5 hrs, a maintenance person arrived but could not fix the issue. The maintenance person came again the second day, but still did not fix the unit. This was totally unacceptable in 40 C+ degree heat. The shower door in bathroom #1 on the third level did not have a door handle. The linens were minimal. The vertical blinds were in disrepair and allowed street light to come into the bedrooms at night. On our last full day in the apartment, maintenance came to repair a list of issues but did not repair the A/C. The apartment was spacious and in a good location.

My apartment is really well located, big and bright apartment in a lovely neighborhood. Steps away from The Star Casino, Darling Harbour, 15 minutes walk from city CBD. There are heaps of restaurants, bars and cafes around for you to explore. Also walking distance from many tourist attractions such as: Sydney Wield Life and Aquarium, Chines Garden, Sydney Tower, Botanic Garden, Hyde Park and more.
