This is the ideal place to stay if you want to be close to central Paris and yet in a good residential district to enjoy good local food at non touristic rates. It is friendly and safe with shops, stores, restaurants and bakeries round the corner.

The apartment (58m2) is located on a quiet small street, pleasant and safe on the Rez-de-Chausée with rooms facing the coutyard (USA 1st floor) so no need for elevator.

Two subways on each side of the street (line 13 that takes you to the Champs Elysees and line 4 that takes you to Notre Dame, Chatelet, Le Louvre) plus bus 58 that takes you to Boulevard St Germain - Notre Dame, Luxembourg in 25 mins.

Living room and kitchen:

Fully equipped open concept kitchen. The living area has a sofa bed, another 3 seater sofa, a flat screen TV, a dining table, and 2 large closets.

2 bedrooms :

- The 1st has a big queen size bed for 2.

- The 2nd has a decker single bed and a double bed (sleeps 3)

- The sofa bed in the living room can sleep 2.

- A single sofa bed

- There are closets in every room.

The bathroom has a bathtub fitted with a glass panel for shower in the tub, a wash basin. The toilet has the advantage of being separated from the bathroom.

The kitchen and other amenities:

- an electric cooker with 4 burners,

- an oven/micro-wave,

- a family size refrigerator,

- a coffee maker, toaster, water boiler

- a clothes washer, without dryer. There is a hanging rack.

- hair dryer, iron and ironing board

- a complete set of cooking utensils and crockery. Good stainless steel cooking pots.

- Free local and LD telephone service (to some 70 countries, including North America, EEC, Australia and SE Asia), high speed internet via ethernet or wifi (bring your laptop).

Strong points:

Nearby the apartment, there are bakeries, 2 big supermarkets and plenty of restaurants and cafés. Or enjoy the daily open-air market in the morning at just 5 mins away. Lots of fashion shops and restaurants. Very pleasant neighborhood.

- walk to the week-end flea market at Porte de Vanves.

- a few stops by metro to Notre Dame, Louvres, Eiffel Tower, or the Champs Elysees.

- Direct line to Eurostar station (Gare du Nord)

- Direct line by RER to the airports from Denfert Rochereau (2 stops from here)

Great Apartment location in Paris

We have been to Paris several times before and this time wanted to experience a neighborhood versus staying right in the heart of things. Julia's apartment was the perfect choice. It is a quiet neighborhood and very convenient to the Metro. The apartment was extremely clean and neat and has everything you need; the beds are very comfortable - an important feature. Moreover, Julia lives in the building so is available to answer questions or deal with any issues that might arise (none did on our trip).

We made good use of the Monoprix grocery down the street and enjoyed the farmer's market right around the corner on Sunday morning. And of course we visited the Boulangerie on the corner - several times.

Not far away is Rue Daguerre, off of Avenue General Leclerc near the Denfert Rochereau Metro (also near the RER from Charles de Gaulle airport); the street dedicates a few blocks to pedestrian only and has a number of good restaurants. We especially liked Peret Brasserie.

My daughter went for a run to Parc Montsouris one afternoon - it is very close.

We would definitely stay here again.

Neat and clean, safe neighborhood, great getaway

We so enjoyed our stay at this apartment! Julia is a fine hostess: she responded right away to our initial inquiry and all correspondence. Julia allowed us to get in early into the apartment and greeted us warmly, was kind, professional and helpful. The accommodations were great; it was secure, very neat, clean and well stocked with towels, linens, laundry and kitchen items. The photos on the website were a good representation of the apartment, nicely furnished. The street we were on was nice and quiet, a safe neighborhood; it was a great place to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. The public transportation was very convenient to access as well. We took busses the whole time, mostly the #58 and #38, with the bus stop around the corner. Julia had many wonderful suggestions which we took: the Sunday and Wednesday markets were very nice and close by; the flea market was also a fun way to spend the morning, and not far to walk to. Lots of great little shops, boulangeries, and cafes anywhere you walked to, anytime of day. When we return, we would definitely want to stay here again. Thank you Julia!

Excellent stay in Paris!

This was our family's first adventure using VRBO, so while I was a bit nervous being a first time adventurer, Julia helped guide us through the reservation process and made us feel at home. The apartment was perfectly comfortable for our family of four. We never felt on top of each other. The second bedroom has a set of bunk beds that our 15 and 12 yr old were delighted to use. There was adequate kitchen space for getting making coffee to go with our morning croissant (the boulangerie is just up the street) and putting together dinner in the evening (again, stop by the boulangerie and pick up a baguette). The place is delightfully quiet at night so we could easily rest each evening after a full day in Paris. The location was perfect as it is about equidistant from two metro stops that connect you to different sides of the city (Eiffel one way, Notre Dame the other). We spend five wonderful days in Julia's apartment and would happily return in he future.

Lovely stay

We spent a week in this beautiful apartment .it was nice and comfortable .the owner was very nice and helpfully ,she explained to us the region. The apartment location is great there are many bakeries and restaurants especially Arabian restaurant nearby. Two_steps away there is along shopping street .. If I will come back to Paris sure I hope to stay there again.

Excellent location

From early in the booking process Julia was great to deal with, prompt and thorough in her responses. 5 nights as a family of 6. Could not have been more convenient, close to Metro restaurants and shops. We really appreciated being out of central touristy Paris. A wonderful Boulangerie in both directions. Julia met us on arrival and was very helpful providing local info like location of shops and restaurants to get us started. Basic Kitchen but sufficient for simple meal preparation. Highly recommend.

Our Paris Apartment

We used Julia's apartment as our base of operations during our week in Paris, and it could hardly have been more convenient. With the Metro so nearby, and all the shops, it was like having our own pied a terre. From the Sunday Farmers' Market (best food of our whole vacation) to having a couple of sweet bakeries nearby, to the public transportation options, this was an excellent base camp. The little kitchen was all that we needed, and the washer made things very convenient. The photos tell you all you need to know. It's a street-level apartment, very quiet, with average beds. The price was right, and we'll probably stay here the next time we're in Paris, and that's the best compliment we can give.
