Cozy cottage close to hiking
Cabin was exactly as described. Very comfortable for a family of four, including two teenage boys. Great breakfast at the general store and wonderful Lovato information. We enjoyed both of our hiking recommendations from Mr. Ferguson. The bedroom overlooking the creek had a pleasant, cool breeze in the evenings.
Perfect home away from home close to the mountains
Loved the cozy homely feel of the little cabin. Was perfect for our family. The kids didn't want to leave. The cabin was really cute and the surroundings even better. Quiet and peaceful and a lovely sight every time we stepped out side.
We had everything we needed to cook basic stuff in the kitchen. We did miss having a toaster.
My husband was happy to meet the owner Mr Ferguson but I missed meeting him. His daughters in law though were very sweet and helpful with info.
Close to the stuff that we wanted to do. Sliding rock, asheville. And the last day we took their inputs and visited maggie valley and the Cherokee Indian reservation. Definitely recommend and would stay again if we came back to the area.
Precious cabin!! Grounds could use some work.
We loved the cabin!!! It was so great! The only complaint about it is that there is no a/c! I didn’t realize that when I booked. If it had a/c it would be amazing! It also just happened to be the hottest weekend of the year. The grass was freshly mowed but the porches were covered in the cut grass and there was no broom for us to sweep. The back porch was grassy as well and also had a birds nest so there was bird poop everywhere on the back porch and furniture.
Beautiful little cabin with a rushing stream off of back deck.Located near grocery store 100 years old. Owner and staff very nice.
Perfect private little cabin
Stayed here with my daughter for two nights. Cabin was just as advertised. There were towels and clean sheets on the beds. Nice creek in the back to cool our feet after a day of horseback riding. The general store is only 1 of 2 in the area and has most anything you forgotten. We left the windows open and the screen door and listened to the creak at night, right to sleep. There is wi-fi there if need to use it. Would stay here again. Recommend bringing some groceries as there is small kitchen and not many options to get a bite to eat. We did enoy HWY 209 cafee down the road for dinner and a breakfast.
Thanks for a great stay!
nice and quiet somewhat comparing to being on the corner behind the store fishing ponds great stream
