Brooms Head is just south of Yamba and on the coast from Maclean. It is a small friendly village surrounded by national park and beaches.
Oceanview is located on the headland and has stunning views in all directions. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 with queen-sized beds and 1 with a double-bottom and single-top bunk. The house sleeps six people with the optional extra of one child and is suited to couples or family groups.
There is also a 10 metre unheated inside pool (supervision for non-swimmers and children required) which is a refreshing addition in the warmer months to beach swimming.
The house is located approximately 200 metres from the Main Beach at Brooms Head. This beach is partly protected by the rocky reef and ideal for swimming, paddle-boarding and body-surfing. The tidal lagoon reflects the low and high tides and is suitable for families with young children. The rock pools are great for exploring as they are habitat for an extensive range of marine life. The back beach is easy walking distance and suitable for surfing.
At the back of Brooms Head is Yuraygir National Park which protects one of the longest stretches of undeveloped coastlines in New South Wales. There are many walks along the coastline and inland among heathland, forests and wetlands.
Brooms Head has a General Store with a good range of food, alcohol and other supplies and a Bowling Club with restaurant. Maclean, the Scottish town, and the coastal holiday town of Yamba are only a short drive. South of Brooms Head is Sandon, an historic fishing village with beautiful estuary and river
