Grainne and Tim Maunsell
About Grainne and Tim Maunsell
I'm Gráinne, originally from Co. Kildare and raised in a small family run hotel. I am married to Tim who is now retired from An Garda Siochána (Irish Police). Tim and I purchased this property in 1986 and lived here for a number of years until our family grew and we needed to relocate. We loved living in this area and have many happy memories of our first home here. I have consistently worked in the hospitality industry and always wanted to provide holiday accommodation here as I felt this to be an ideal location. I have been lucky enough to have realized my dream. I pay particular attention to detail and set the highest of standards in cleanliness and customer care. Our aim is to ensure that you really feel at home and comfortable in our apartment and we will endeavor to assist you in any way with any aspect of your vacation, so that you get the most out of your trip to Dublin. We are at the end of the phone 24 hours a day if you need any assistance. Assuring you of our best attention.
Grainne and Tim Maunsell purchased this Cottage in 1987
Why Grainne and Tim Maunsell chose Inchicore
We chose this location because of close proximity to downtown Dublin. We loved the period red brick property with large rooms. Fantastic large enclosed rear
What makes this Cottage unique
The most unique benefit is the location. Only 10 minutes from downtown Dublin with that real at home feeling when you arrive back after your day out. In the Summer time, we enjoyed many barbeques out back, and found it peaceful and quiet. One huge benefit and highly unusual in a city apartment is the amount of both indoor and outdoor space.

Great home base in Inchicore
This detached house was a great home base for our explorations of Dublin. The bus stopped on the road out front and was a short ride to city center. Two grocery stores are a few minutes' walk away. Inchicore is not a fancy place, but it seemed relatively safe.
Thank you for your review. We appreciate you taking the time to write it. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and the experience of a historic Dublin neighbourhood which Inchicore is. We hope to see you back again some time.
We enjoyed our stay at this property near Dublin. Close to bus and tram system.
Property was clean. Valerie, the care taker, was helpful in bringing bag us extra towels and giving us tips of the area. Washer, dryer and small kitchen were handy for our family of 6. Good parking area. 1 full bath and 1 half bath were also handy.
Great location if you don’t want to drive in Dublin.
I highly recommend the James Connolly Cottage which is at the back of the main house, very quiet and what can w e say about Valerie that would do justice to how helpful she is, and she attended so quickly to the one small problem we had.
Nice Stay quiet area, and safe
Clean and quiet, Valerie was there to help with incidentals like cups and coffee maker, she bought new coffee cups and glasses and 2 French press coffee makers. Any concerns were taken care of right away. Graham Walsh did a fabulous job picking us up at the airport, taking us on a private tour and getting us back to the airport in plenty of time for departure. I highly recommend his service. I would stay here again if I was in the area. Getting around by bus is a breeze, would recommend getting the leap card for your stay.
Home away from Home
It was the perfect choice for our stay in Dublin. As per the ad everything was exactly as described. Easy access to public transportation. Excellent hosts.
Very convenient place in all aspects
We felt very good at James Connelly Cottage, I recommend it to anyone who would like to visit Dublin. The place is exactly as it is described - equipped with everything you need. Transport links are a great advantage - they lead you directly to the most important places in Dublin. And after a long day you have the tranquility for a good rest. The other great convenience is Graham's ability to get you from the airport of arrival and take you on your way - it's just like a clock and a very nice person. Thanks to him and our hosts our stay in Dublin was impeccable. I express their gratitude to them from our entire group of 5 people.
Situated in the historic region of Dublin within walking distance to Kilmainham Gaol, IMMA and Dublin Zoo.
Excellent public transport facilities with the Luas a 5 minute walk and the bus route 13 & 40 serving Guinness Storehouse, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Temple Bar, Dublin Castle and Trinity College just outside the door.
