Great vacation. Wonderful location.
House location was beautiful. Property was clean and well-maintained. All four bedrooms were well-sized and comfortable. Living area was very spacious with large windows and beautiful views of the ocean. Walking Popponesset Beach was very quiet and relaxing. Would definitely recommend the house for vacation planning. Loved nearby Falmouth.
Beautiful house on exclusive Island
From the moment my husband and son and I pulled into the driveway I fell in love with this house! The interior of the home is very much like ours. The colors are blue white and yellow. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. We had fluffy new white towels and new bedding in the upstairs rooms.
We went to the supermarket which is very close and bought all the essentials we needed, fresh flowers, favorite foods and wine!
The Commons is right down the road from us, Beautiful shops and upscale restaurants. We thought the best nights were when we cooked and had friends over!
There is a beautiful private dock. We rented a pontoon boat for the full two weeks we were there. It really added to our vacation. ( boat bound)
This was a magnificent vacation we will always remember .Thank you!!
A beautiful, spotless and peaceful home
What a lovely property this is! With views of the water from most every window, my family and friends were delighted with this charming, comfortable and immaculate house. Location was lovely - a short ride to the beach - and we enjoyed use of the private dock as well. We recommend without reservation!
perfect spot for everything
we spent a lovely weekend here in september. the house is spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. beautiful views of the water from all of the rooms. kitchen is well appointed. the island is very private. nice for walking. near to shops. it is a perfect spot for a get away for both couples and families. cannot wait to visit again.
Ideal location for a family getaway!
My family of seven spent four nights in this lovely home. We were six adults (my husband, myself, three grown children, son-in-law and our 3.5 year old grandson). This house met all of our needs perfectly. The common area (living room, dining area and kitchen) was very comfortable for us to relax as a group and the view was stunning - just as promised. We ate, chatted, played games and it worked for all of us.
The house was clean, well maintained and well stocked. We had everything we needed for simple cooking and could certainly have prepared more elaborate meals. The bedrooms were all well appointed and very clean. Each bedroom has a fantastic view. My husband and I used the downstairs bedroom/bathroom suite, which is just off the living room. I was concerned that noise would be an issue, but that was never the case. This is the smallest bedroom of the four.
While we don't have a boat, it was quite entertaining for our grandson to make supervised visits to the dock. If you have a boat, this would certainly be a lovely addition to your vacation. The water views were almost enough in themselves. We did visit "Spit" beach for a long walk, great views and fun watching people fish.
The location of this home provides easy access to Falmouth and the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. We were able to make a nice day trip to Martha's Vineyard and also enjoyed some restaurants in Falmouth. L'Oven Pizza was particularly good for our family of several vegetarians and a preschooler. Also, if you are a lobster roll lover (for the non-vegetarians) check out the stand on Palmer Avenue in Falmouth. Really fresh and delicious!
On a rainy afternoon we made a visit to the Mashpee Children's Museum. Not fancy and not overwhelming. It was an excellent way to spend two hours with an active pre-schooler. Much to do, in a very manageable and relaxed space.
The internet connection at the house was excellent and my son-in-law was able to telecommute with no problem and some very relaxing views to ease the pain of working on a vacation.
In all, this was perfect for us and especially enhanced by the pre-season rates.
