This quaint cozy cottage is close to family-friendly activities. Take a short easy walk to Green Valley lake. This cabin is surrounded by forest, hiking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, Snow Valley ski resort, Big Bear ski resort, Lake Arrowhead, Lake Gregory. You’ll love my mountain retreat because it is removed from civilization, in the middle of nature but close enough to walk to local town for essentials at the market, lunch at the malt shop or a drink at the tavern. My place is good for couples, families and solo adventurers.
2 bedroom, 1 bath, forest setting with large deck, seasonal creek

Why Owner chose Green Valley Lake
I bought this cozy cabin to give my city kids a little bit of the nature and wilderness that I experienced as a child. I like that the property has immediate access to the forest right out the back door.
What makes this Cabin unique
Skiing in the winter and a lake for swimming in the summer

two weeks of peace and quiet
This was one of the best vacations we have ever taken. my son has been stationed at Port Hueneme for three years, we went to visit. His only request was to get away from L.A. This was the perfect place to stay. Green valley Lake is a small town with friendly people, Not as popular as Big Bear or Lake arrowwood, but still easy to get to. the cabin was small but had a well stocked kitchen. My husband and I sat out front every morning to have coffee and tea and watch the birds. The back deck was very private, we were there after the summer rush and neither of the cabins were occupied. thanks again to Kylee. If we ever get back to California we would stay again.
Loved everything about it! Had everything you need close to different places to enjoy the nature
Oh the o places we have seen, the people we met, the trails we hiked and so much more fun we had - it’s undesirable! Already want to come back. Enjoyed everything about the cabin and around. The weather in July was perfect no ac or heater needed, God’s willing and we will be back sometime. Thank you for everything!
Thank you very much for treating my place with respect. Think of it as your home away from home. You are welcome back anytime!
I have stayed twice and will return again. The cabin is clean and spacious and the surrounding areas are beautiful. While it's very quiet, the people you meet in town are friendly. The lake is a perfect place to cool off at the end of the day. The owner is very pleasant and attentive. Overall it is a wonderful place to getaway for some solitude or enjoy with family or friends. A+
Very cozy and quaint. The only downfall was when we first arrived it was freezing inside.
My husband and i had no experience with a wood stove fireplace so it took us a while to get it going. It took a while for the living room to warm up. Overall we really liked it.
Perfect quaint getaway!
Lovely, clean house with lots of quaint features, including a wood burning stove, wood paneling and old fashioned wood windows which add to the genuine charm of staying in a cabin in a sleepy town like Green Valley Lake. Ideal for kids because the surrounding areas are largely flat so they can explore without falling down a cliff. The house felt a lot larger than I expected. The enclosed patio was a great place to set your wet boots without tracking snow or dirt into the house. My kid burned her butt on the floor heater because despite warnings from us who TOLD HER that not to touch the heater, she decided to set her butt right on the metal grate. If you have toddlers, that's the only downside to staying here because they wont heed your warnings. (My 6 yr old didnt either..but she won't make that mistake again). We will definitely be back!
Super sweet cottage
We came up from San Diego on Christmas Day. Perfect plan because traffic was light and the ride was super easy. The cottage is really sweet and charming. The street is quiet and flat (great for kiddos on bikes!).
The place is perfect for a get-away, 2 bedrooms/1bath. I only gave 4 stars because it’s not exactly luxury, but more rustic. Advertised with firewood but we had none. Arriving on a holiday, we’d have appreciated it being a bit more ready for us. We also had to pack out our own trash and turn on/shut off the water. In other places we’ve stayed these tasks have been done by owners or caretakers.
I love GVL and it’s great proximity to Snow Valley. The “town” couldn’t be cuter and the lake is small and beautiful. We’ll definitely be back!
