We have built a three-story house in an ecological reserve on the Pacific Coast of
Ecuador. This listing is for the ground floor: Mostly open, with huge tiled porches and lots of hammocks; looks out on the Pacific. The screened-in area includes a bedroom with queen-sized bed, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a living space with two 1x2 meter sofa-beds. All three beds have their own mosquito nets.
Note: The bedroom on the ground floor is not as closed-in as the bedrooms on floor two and three: one wall (behind the head board) goes all the way up to the eleven-foot ceiling, but the other three only go up four to six feet, so if auditory privacy is needed in the bedroom at night, consider renting floor two or three.
The wireliss internet at Playa Escondida works about 90 per cent of the time, and we are constantly working on ways to make it work 100 per cent of the time.
Playa Escondida, the ecological refuge in which our house sits, is gorgeous. You wake up to the sounds of birds and the Pacific surf. Tropical lushness and beauty everywhere. Unspoiled.
