Perfect cabin getaway
Great experience! Clear instructions from the owner and just an overall awesome hunting cabin getaway back in the woods. Plenty of space and beds. Could not ask for a better option for a guys weekend. Uber gets you to downtown for $15. Golf course 15 minutes away too. Woke up to a 6pt buck 30 feet from the bedroom window. Just a lot of fun. Would love to buy a cabin like this. Hope to stay again next year. Thank you!
It was perfect for our family getaway. We had our Lab with us and the secluded place was perfect!
Lots of room. We wanted to unplug so we did. Close to Traverse City and we loved being away from everything. We grilled out and hiked on the property
Not fancy but cozy and homey
What is most important to me is cleanliness and comfortable beds and this met my expectations. We were not expecting the air conditioning but were happy for it since it was in the 90’s. Very roomy and plenty of seating in living room. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We all enjoyed just sitting on the deck and enjoying the surroundings. Brian was attentive when I had questions.
We were very satisfied with our stay
The cabin was exactly as advertised and we were pleased with the property. The owner was GREAT. His communication was prompt and he kindly assisted us with a few small requests. We didn't have time to explore the trails and water but enjoyed the quiet surroundings and peaceful front porch. This VRBO experience was great.
Spacious! Clean! Private! Surrounded by woods!
July 23 -26. 2018 Our annual family vacation. First time here near Traverse City. Cabin in the woods describes this cabin perfectly. Has 6 comfy beds to sleep up to 12 in a communal area that has sliding privacy doors to close off and make four sleeping bedrooms, plus comfy couches too. Plus one bedroom at the other end of the house. 2 full baths. CLEAN!
extra large deck, fire pit for some-mores, plenty of parking, an outdoor person's paradise. Inside - large living room and dining room. While not updated (as of 2018), this kitchen has all you need. Plenty of wildlife. Drive carefully up the driveway - deer crossing.
Items to note: Looooong driveway is sandy and bumpy. Follow directions of the owner on the rental info to find the entrance off the paved road. Kitchen has an old dishwasher that still works, Mr. Coffee, and wineopener in the drawer. Bring your own bag of ice for your drinks and store in freezer. Enough pots and pans for cooking on gas stove. Relatively new Washer and dryer/detergent/dryer sheets. Air conditioned bedrooms. Keep doors and windows closed to keep house cool. No Internet or WiFi - but who needs it?!! We didn't turn on the TV once.
Close to all Traverse City activities, TART trail is in town- driveway too sandy to ride bikes to town. VASA trail in through the woods a bit- get directions from owner. Close to beaches, peninsulas; about one hour to Lake Michigan/Sleeping Bear Dunes/canoe liveries. 30 minutes to wineries and tip of Old Mission Peninsula. About 2 hours to Mackinaw City. 15 minutes to grocery store.
What else can I say? Our little pre-schoolers could run around and ride bikes without a care. Plenty of room for bocci, ladder golf, whiffle ball tournament, etc. Highly recommend if you are a wanna-be camper but don't like tents - this is it!
Nice quiet Cabin
Nice clean place. Had to buy movies because there was no cable/dish available for entertainment at night. It was very quiet and sits 0.7/mile off the nearest paved road. Would rent again!
