This is a great place with a nice location. We had a very nice stay in a comfortable place.
Great location-very close to beach!
This condo was located just down the street from the beach. It was easy to find and convenient to everything we needed. The condo was as described and the perfect size for our family of 3. Our only feedback is in regards to the restroom. It could use some sprucing up. There were patches made to the wall that didn’t match the rest of the wall color and the toilet wasn’t secured to the floor. It was missing the ring at the bottom that keeps the toilet from moving. If you sat on the toilet, it rocked back and forth. Other than that, we had a great stay at this condo.
Very nice. Great location.
Clean and well/provisioned in the kitchen
Perfect for weekend getaway
Condo was exactly as advertised
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and would love to have you stay again.
Nice Condo in a great location - 10 minute walk to beach & across parking lot from pool
We stayed here for 2 nights during the Port A Sand Fest April 27-29 2018. It was a very comfortable condo on the second floor with a separate bedroom, comfortable king bed, TV in bedroom & living room & bathroom is in the bedroom. We enjoyed having a full small kitchen with microwave & fridge, didn't do much cooking, but its nice to have an option.
We really liked the location- just a 10 minute walk to White Cap Beach, right across the parking lot from the pool & a nice fishing pond. Good view from the deck as well, we could see the sand dunes & some of the ocean if u looked to your left.
(Please be advised that u need to buy a $12 pass to drive onto White Cap Beach.) Its very close to a few restaurants but probably need to drive to those.
We loved the German Bakery & Cafe, with delicious rolls, strudels, quiches & breads and its only a 5 minute drive on HWY 22 from the condo & then there is the restaurant at Bob Hall Pier right on the beach, loved the atmosphere there.
Problems from day one.
When we arrived we discovered that the condo was not clean. Dirt and dust on the baseboards, large dust balls and a sock under the bed, the floor had not been cleaned in recent times. When we informed the manager and he sent a woman to clean. When we explained what was dirty she stated that we were too particular, and then she left. The manager sent a new person the next day and she spent almost two hours cleaning the condo. Obviously, if it took two hours to clean a one bedroom condo unit then it was not clean.
Then the next week we used the oven only to discover that it did not heat properly. The bottom element was not working. A repair person arrived the next day to fix that problem
When the weather warmed up we turned on the air conditioning only to discover that it did not work. So five days later a new outside transfer coil was installed.
The next week the clothes dryer stopped working. It was a faulty door switch. While the repair person was there he sanded the rust on the inside of the door and repainted it, which meant we had to wait another day for the paint to dry. So we lost the use of the dryer for almost four days.
The toilet keeps starting to flush but does not actually flush, so at night we closed the door to stop the noise from annoying us. The overhead fan in the bedroom does not work. Both these items need to be repaired.
Unfortunately we do not have the name of the owner as VRBO states in the fine print that you must have the name of the manager and owner in order to make a claim. We would certainly have made a claim had we been able to obtain the owner's name as we feel we should be entitled to compensation for the dirty condition of the unit and the constant problems with the appliances and air conditioning.
I am very sorry about any inconvenience to you during your 3 month stay. Unfortunately we did have some issues with appliances during your stay but we did remedy each situation as soon as we were informed about it. We maintain all of our appliances but there is just no way to predict when an appliance will have an issue arise. We also checked on the bedroom ceiling fan and it works just fine. The pull string just needed to be pulled. Only the light was coming on by flipping the switch because the ceiling fan was off. We have also spent some time in the condo and have not heard the noise you described coming from the toilet. None of the guests that have stayed since your check out have heard it either so I am not sure what that was but we will definitely keep an eye on that. Again, I am very sorry for an inconvenience to you and we would love another chance to provide you with a pleasurable stay if you would like to come back for another visit.
Plenty for restaurants, bars and shops on the island. Mini golf, horseback riding and fishing close by plus Schlitterbahn Water Park and plenty of beaches of course. You can also visit downtown Corpus Christi just 20 miles away to visit the beautiful bayfront, the amazing water gardens, natural science and art museums, or take in a baseball game at Whataburger Field, a show at Harbor Playhouse or check to see what is going on at the American Bank Center. Plus more restaurants and bars. Take a trip over the Harbor Bridge from downtown Corpus Christi to North Beach to visit the Texas State Aquarium or the USS Lexington Museum on the Bay. Also, only 10 miles from the island is beautiful Port Aransas for more shopping, eating and beaches.
