About Robert Anderson

Therese Anderson has been a licensed Realtor since 2008. As a fourth generation native of Colorado, her comprehensive familiarity with the amenities each city has to offer is certainly an advantage. She has a Colorado mind set for real estate, is family oriented and hard working. Unusual paradise

What a lovely, and unusual place!! We enjoyed being greeted by a hummingbird when we were sitting out on the patio (I LOVE hummingbirds) and there wasn't a feeder anywhere that I could see. I felt like we were in some kind of New York City loft when we entered the place--designed to be beautiful and comfortable. I could of sat in the kitchen for a few hours just to marvel at it (lovely)!! Close to casinos and buses that take you to other casinos! On our first day we heard the singing from the opera house (how awesome of a treat)!

Large space, mostly okay

My husband and I stayed here because we were attending two performances at Central City Opera, and the apartment was located right across the street, which was very convenient. As other reviewers have noted, there are many stairs here, so it's not suited for people with limited mobility (not an issue for us). Also, you can't go out the front door of the building and into the street, but must either use a fairly rickety outside wooden staircase, or circle around from the back of property (via High St). There's a very secure programmed entry lock into the building; however, once you enter, there's a private room for the building owner, with unlocked access into the apartment itself; this felt a bit weird. The apartment itself is very spacious, with a nice kitchen and huge closet. The bed linens and towels are nice. If you're not used to a Sleep Number bed, it takes awhile to find the right adjustment. In general, our stay was fine, but since we've stayed in many vacation rentals, we do have a few comments/suggestions. 1) There are numerous drawers/cupboards in the kitchen; labeling them would be nice, also knobs would make for easier opening; 2) one of the bedside lamps was unusable because the cord wouldn't reach the outlet; an extension cord could be used; 3) another table lamp was also unusable/broken; 4) the bedroom television armoire would not stay open; a simple shim could be placed underneath the piece of furniture; 5) a full length mirror would be great in the walk-in closet (there's a perfect spot on the wall next to the robe hooks); 6) it took quite awhile for the water in the bathroom to get warm; 7) the tap water (especially in the kitchen) has a bad taste; perhaps have some filtered water in the fridge, or tell people to bring bottled water; 9) there's a slight mildew smell near the dining area; probably mainly from the age of the building; 10) it would be great to have a channel guide for the TVs. Those are the main things. The owner was very nice to allow us to check out an hour late (perhaps consider a usual time of noon, since the check in time is a bit late).

Spacious apartment - Great value

This is a unique property. We originally rented it because it looked like you could walk out the front door to the casino's, but that's not the case. The lower level is a business. You can walk down steps from the apartment to get to the business, but they don't want you going through it in off hours. Parking is in the alley on a street above/behind the property. You walk down a flight of steps to the back door, then down another flight of steps to the apartment. You can get to main street from where you park by walking maybe 50 ft to some steps down to main street, so it's pretty convenient overall. If steps aren't your thing, this isn't the property for you. If you don't mind steps...

This is a spacious apartment with everything you need including a super comfortable sleep number bed! It's fully stocked and is a great value. Much better than staying in a cramped casino hotel and just far enough off the main road to keep the noise down.

This was a great place to stay in Central City! The apartment was quiet and we had a very relaxing trip. Convenient to just walk or catch the shuttle.
