Unfortunately, this house had not been cleaned prior to our arrival.

  • 1 of 5

Besides the house not being cleaned prior to our arrival, (linens not changed, dirty dishes in dishwasher and in cupboards, refrigerator and freezer needed to be cleaned and floor needed to be swept and mopped) we were disappointed with the overall house and yard. The steps to the front door needed to be swept as well as the back porch area. The grass/weeds in front and back of house needed to be cut. The positive side of this house was the remodel of the bathrooms and kitchen which was very nice but hard to appreciate because the house had not been cleaned and the exterior of the house had not been maintained. Also, this house sleeps 6 and their was a couch and dining table with six chairs and that's all. The bedrooms were lacking dressers and a couple of night stands. The living room ceiling light did not work. We were all disappointed because we were here for 4 nights from Sept. 7-11, 2017, because the IRONMAN 70.3 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS were being held in Chattanooga during this time and our son was a participant. We loved visiting Chattanooga but did not like staying in this house.

Excellent location to start from daily

  • 4 of 5

The property was clean, quiet, updated nicely, and within minutes of all the major attractions in Chattanooga. The beds were very comfortable. I must say one of my greatest fears is the quality of the bed when vacationing. We sleep on Temperpedics at home so we felt very comfortable here. Negatives: outdoor light by vehicle parking is not working, couch needs to be recycled. Overall this place is a very nice and very comfortable. Will stay again when in Chattanooga if the place is available.

Simplistic stay

  • 4 of 5

The house is as advertised, very clean and simplistic. The picture is of the back yard, not the front of the house. The kitchen has the basics, though we bought hot pads and dish towels and left them there for the next people. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The house is on a busy street and we felt safe the whole time there. The house is minutes from downtown and easy to get to. We would stay there again.

Amazing property and stay!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer! It was the perfect home for two couples, one with a 15 mo old and the other with a 3 yr old. We really appreciated that although the owners didn't have a pack and play, they quickly located one we could borrow after we'd asked about availability. The location was convenient and the property had everything we needed. We were pleasantly surprised there were even kids' books and toys! If we are in this area again, we'd definitely stay here!

Neat and clean house. Easy to find things in house.

Only trouble was lights in master bedroom and living room. Don't know if it was me or bad light bulbs. House was neat and clean. Enjoyed our stay.

Nice home with a great locaction

  • 4 of 5

Booking the property was easy and received a quick response from the owner regarding the reservations. In the message, we were told that we would be given instructions prior to our arrival date, but by the time we had arrived; well after the check-in time; we had not been given any instructions. We had to resort to calling VRBO to gain access to the property. Not really sure who dropped the ball on that mishap.

As far as the home goes, we loved it! We found it to be nice and clean and with a good layout. The master is off of the kitchen and has a nice master bath. The other two bedrooms are off of the living area and have a bathroom in between them. It was nice to have the amenities of home and not have to worry about eating out all of the time. The location of the property was about 10 to 15 minutes from downtown and the neighborhood was surprisingly quiet due to it being close to the city center.

We utilized the back deck as much as possible as we were blessed with great weather and our 3 y.o. grandson loved playing outside. It was nice to come "home" and decompress a bit before exploring more of the area.

I would like to make a few suggestions to the owner/manager:

1) Consider making a small binder with information in it. Recommendations for attractions, places to eat, etc. Provide a list of Roku channels that are accessible through the subscription. Also consider including check out instructions and the wifi password. We weren't sure what needed to be done at check out, so we ran the dishwasher and tidied up the bedrooms a bit.

2) Consider purchasing an inexpensive set of pots & pans. We went to Walmart and purchased a set for @$20.00 to use while we stayed there. This small investment will pay dividends in the long run.

3) Perhaps invest in an inexpensive TV antenna. Some people may want to watch "normal" broadcast channels and catch the local news and weather.

Once again, I would like to stress that we really enjoyed staying at the property and we would definitely rent this place again for an extended stay in the Chattanooga area.
