About Charlene Burns
Bob and Charlene have been catering to tourists for many years. Bob bought the infamous Babb Bar from his parents in 1974. In 1996 they turned it into the Babb Bar Cattle Baron Supper Club. it has been featured in many magazines. They live on their ranch North of Babb where they raise cattle and horses and border collies. Their love for the land and this area is very evident in all that they do. Their roots are deep and they totally immersed in their culture and the history of this area, the Blackfeet people, and their own rich and colorful family history.
Charlene Burns purchased this House in 2015
Why Charlene Burns chose Babb
Bob's family was one of the first 3 families who permanently settled in the Babb/St. Mary's area in the late 1800's before the Blackfeet made a treaty and Glacier Park was formed. Two mountains in the park are named after his grandfathers, Mount Henkel and Heavy Runner Mountain. Charlene's aunt owned this property that we call Single Shot 1. She lived to be 102 years old. When it came up for sale last year, they bought the home from her cousin, with the idea of making it into a vacation rental. All while they were restoring it, they found little offerings from nature which they placed under the coffee table. We believe they were gifts from her auntie, happy to see life flowing from the house again. It's very peaceful.
What makes this House unique
The view of the lake and the mountains is spectacular. It might be the best view on St. Mary's lake. The house is very comfortable. The best thing about the house is that it is located between all the best spots in the Park. Within minutes you are either at the Going to the Sun Highway, Many Glaciers Highway or the Highway to Waterton lakes. It just doesn't get better than that.

Review of Rosenberg stay at Babb propert on Lake Mary Aug 13-18
Great experience. Property was nice and quiet with no noisy neighbors. Owners responded to the few issues such as a leaky shower valve in a timely manner. The only upgrade I would make if I owned the property would be to upgrade the dock for easier kayak launching and docking.
Thank you. We do have plans for a whole new dock next season as well as more kayaks. Please come back and visit again.

Excellent spot for exploring east side of Glacier
We enjoyed winding down at Single Shot after long days hiking in Glacier NP. The kayaks were fun and we enjoyed the unique Cattle Baron Restaurant in Babb. The history of the area was cool, as well.
Thank you so much. We hope you come back again.

Perfect location! A little difficult to find at first but once we figured it out it was amazing. Very convenient to get to multiple areas of GNP. We went with our son and another couple and their child and the house fit us perfectly. Charlene was very helpful in getting us a second crib. The views from the house were spectacular. Be prepared for limited service. Would definitely stay again.
If you love staying on a lake, this is the house for you
We had a great stay. Having access to the kayaks and paddle boat was a real plus. The mosquitoes were a little overwhelming at times, but that's to be expected being so close to the lake. The house fit our five guys comfortably as it was roomy. Beds were comfortable and made for some relaxing sleep.
Great location with beautiful views....
This is a great location for a family to visit Glacier Park. The accommodations are comfortable and it is very convenient to Going to the Sun Road and East Glacier. There is a private deck with gorgeous views where you can BBQ dinner on the gas grill. The area is secluded and has access to kayaks and a paddle boat. Being away from the Glacier Park crowds during the summer can be quite refreshing.
Location, location, location!
We loved this home! It is spacious, comfortable, and well stocked. Our group of 6 had more than enough room to spread out after long days of hiking and exploring in GNP.
Location is absolutely perfect too! Just a few minutes to Going to the Sun Road and an easy drive to Waterton, East Glacier, and Two Medicine.
The views from the dock and patio are spectacular and the beautiful sundowns last forever.
We had a fabulous week and would definitely recommend this spot.
