About Marsha Pincus

As owner of this well-loved and beautifully appointed vacation rental, Marsha Pincus is excited to welcome guests to enjoy the creative and inspirational life style she's discovered living in downtown Santa Fe. Marsha is an educator, writer and visual artist who has relocated to Santa Fe, New Mexico, after years of traveling here for writing retreats and other creative projects. She taught English and Drama in Philadelphia for 34 years, where several of her high school students had their original plays produced off-Broadway. She has the distinction of being the only Philadelphia public school teacher to win the Teacher of the Year Award twice - in 1988 and 2005. After her retirement in 2008, Marsha reconnected with her own creativity and began writing seriously while also studying printmaking, photography and mosaics. And it has been quite generative! Creator of a one woman show, "Chalkdust," Marsha’s screenplay "Small Steps" won honorable mention in the 2016 Screenwriting Festival. Her collages and mosaics have been shown in Philadelphia galleries. A teacher at heart, Marsha has been serving as a Creative Consultant to other writers, leading writing groups and designing workshops for accessing and developing the creativity of post-career women - a topic very close to her heart. She is also a trained "Storyhealers" facilitator who works with groups of people to write, shape and share their stories of courage and healing on local stages. Please come and let the Biscochito Holiday Casita share its charms with you.

Marsha Pincus purchased this house in 2016

Why Marsha Pincus chose Santa Fe

Prior to purchasing the Biscochito Holiday Casita, I had been coming to New Mexico for many years, drawn here by the natural beauty of the landscape and the vibrant art, theater and writing scenes. I first stayed in the casita as a guest in 2014 when I was working with a local director on a one woman show. I had seen the listing on VRBO and thought that it would be a good place for my seven week writing retreat. Turned out it was PERFECT!!! Just the right size, perfectly equipped, quiet and private, the casita provided a comfortable home away from home where I could write undisturbed during the day and enjoy the plaza at night. In 2015, I fulfilled one of my dreams when I returned to Santa Fe to perform a staged reading of my show "Chalkdust." And in 2016, I fulfilled a second dream when I became the proud owner of the very casita that had been the source of my inspiration and creativity. Whether you are here to see the sites and enjoy the cultural life, or you just need some quiet time for yourself for meditation or a creative project, the Biscochito Holiday Casita will be delighted to welcome you.

What makes this house unique

Guests to the Biscochito Holiday Casita will find all the benefits of a quiet retreat just blocks from the famous Santa Fe Plaza with museums, restaurants and world class shops and galleries. The brick patio, enclosed by a rustic coyote fence provides privacy and additional living space for Spring, Summer and Autumn. Fully equipped with everything one needs to live comfortably, the casita is perfect for those planning a short visit to Santa Fe or for those wanting a longer stay to explore all the culture and natural beauty that Northern New Mexico has to offer.

Perfect location! Such a cute place!

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough good things about Marsha's place. The casita is beautiful; the perfect size for 2 of us for the week. It had the traditional adobe style I was looking for with modern amenities. It had everything we needed and was impeccably clean. We took advantage of the washer/dryer so we didn't need to pack as much. Marsha even provided extra pillows at my request since I am pregnant. She was available when needed and was willing to provide points of interest for us. The location is perfect...we were within walking distance to the Plaza, shops and museums, yet it was still quiet and secluded. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

We stayed in this wonderful casita for two weeks. It is compact and very functional for one or two people. The location is great for exploring Santa Fe and all that the city has to offer. We highly recommend the casita. The owner, Marsha, is very helpful. Ron & Sue Hartman

Wonderful stay in Santa Fe!

  • 5 of 5

The location of this unit is excellent...walking distance to the main part of the city & many

restaurants & museums. The unit itself is comfortable and has everything we needed. I stayed for a week with my husband and for 1 or 2 people it is quite sufficient. Nice to sit outside in the evening on the patio with a glass of wine...Felt part of the Santa Fe experience by not being in a hotel. Marsha is a warm hostess and very informative. All in all, I would highly recommend her place for a stay in Santa Fe.

Great casita in great location

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this casita, just a few blocks from the plaza, art museums and restaurants. Well equipped kitchenette and also a washer dryer. Loved the small courtyard mornings and evenings. Marsha is a super host and was readily available. We hope to stay on our next visit to Santa Fe.

Great location to enjoy Santa Fe

  • 5 of 5

Marsha's casita was the perfect location to take in all that Santa Fe has to offer. Just a few blocks from the Plaza and a short walk to Canyon Rd. We even walked to the new Railyard district.
