About Sandra C Smith

I am a native North Carolinian and moved to Asheville in 1979. I've been inviting friends to the area since. I love great food as well as art, so Asheville is a perfect town for me. The nearby hiking trails call to me often and I love the beauty of the natural world.

I enjoy sharing my favorite restaurants, hiking trails and art galleries with others.

Why Sandra C Smith chose Arden

This 6 Maple Terrace is located in one of south Asheville's oldest neighborhoods, Royal Pines. The property, at the end of a short private road, is quiet and just under an acre. It appealed to me the minute I saw the setting. My friends call my home a tree house as do those who rent the apartment. A variety of deciduous trees offers textures of green in summer and great color in autumn. The apartment's private porch is simply serene, surrounded by trees and birdsong.

What makes this apartment unique

Guests absolutely love the crafted walkway leading to this apartment. The mountain laurel and rhododendrun add a special touch to this property.

The porch is spacious and cozy, perfect for morning coffee or tea and evening wine.

Perfect weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

Wren’s Nest can be summed up in one word = perfection. Sandra was the most gracious and lovely host. Her home is beyond stunning and the fact we were able to stay in such a magical location made our weekend getaway that much better. The apartment is the perfect setup for two, with all the ammenities necessary, and honestly just feels like home. Everything was immaculate and ready for us. The small details of the apartment, the decor, the teas and coffee available for use just made it feel special. We honestly cannot wait to go back. Thank you again, Sandra!!

Perfect Romantic Getaway Nestled in the Woods

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Wren's Nest. Sandra could not have been more hospitable and responsive. She has decorated and maintained the property with extreme care and thoughtfulness. We were greeted with all the comforts of home including fresh flowers. We found ourselves lingering in the mornings and evenings rather than rushing out to explore the Asheville area because we found the setting to be so peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Like own secret treehouse! The property was also well situated. Just minutes away from wonderful local coffee shops and cafes and just 15 minutes away from area attractions like the Biltmore Estate and downtown Asheville. We'll be back!

A quiet, private retreat

  • 5 of 5

Such a delightful stay! It's always a pleasure to return to WNC, and Wren's Nest made it that much more special. Quiet, comfortable and thoughtfully decorated and equipped, it's a perfect retreat, yet only minutes from all the amenities of the area. Host, Susan, could not be any more accommodating and clearly loves the area; it shows in every detail. I would absolutely return to Wren's Nest and would not hesitate to recommend it.
